Clean and simple accommodation in great location and friendly staff

This is my second visit to this guest house. The accommodation is clean and simple. The location is very good close to the station and a nice walk from the Main street Krupowki. The area is quiet and green and there is a nice garden that the guest can enjoy. The breakfast is very good. Wifi in lobby and in some rooms. I will certainly return.

Where to start!!

No elevator, light bulb in bedroom didn't work from day 1 (please note, it's the ONLY bulb in the room!) even if the hotel's handyman changed it once we notified reception.. towels are NOT changed by maids, and I'm pretty sure the room is not cleaned everyday. Wifi - there seems to be a complex problem with the routers especially of floors 1 and 2. We did not have wifi access from our room throughout our stay. We had to go to the reception 2 floors down to use the internet. All receptionists speak very poor English. The only good point about the hotel is the fact that you book on a half board basis. Then again the food is average - no choice/buffet but rather you have to eat what you are presented with on the table.
I would definitely choose another hotel if I were to visit Zakopane again

Horrible

The hotel sucks, it's too expensive for what it offers. The room was old, run-down and not so clean. The bathroom didn't even have shower gels/shampoo nor hair dryer (and it was filthy). There is no lift. The staff is impolite and the breakfast unbearable. Don't go there.

no frills, good value for money

I have been there for a weekend at the beginning of January with a friend, twin room.
the hotel and the city were not crowded because we were just at the end of Christmas Holidays.
the hotels is absolutely no frills, but considering its price you get absolutely good value for money.
rooms are tiny, but clean and comfortable, with a balcony on the garden. free wi-fi available, working very well in the whole building.
location is ok, in 5 minutes walking distance you get to the main road or to bus and train stations.
the lady at the front desk is really nice, welcoming you warmly and really helpful.
additional: the hotel offers additional services (extra payment needed) such as sauna and solarium - not tried, but it is a good plus!

Hotel suitable for school children visiting Zakopane

As I only intended to spend just 1 night in lovely Zakopane I only looked at its price and did not bothered much regarding what other people’s reviews were of this hotel and that was my mistake. Hotel which is very near train station and main attractions of Zakopane has the smallest, very poorly furnished rooms my wife and I ever been to. Toilet and shower room could not take more than 1 person at a time and for an example the hand wash basin was barely 12/13 inches wide. Hotel has no air-condition (was very hot the 2 days we were in Zakopane), we asked for an air fan and were told they haven’t any. As I knew hotel has no lifts on our reservation form I asked for a ground floor and we were given room on top floor. Breakfast was very poor. On the 2 days we were at hotel there were many young, behaved school girls accompanied by teachers and I in my opinion this hotel is very suitable for school children visiting Zakopane.
