Excellent

We've have been going to Culebras for what it seems to be every year for the past 5yrs. We have stayed here ever since the 1st time. I PREFER quality over quantity and the service is SUPERB!!! All you need for your basic needs/use is provided for you. The place is ALWAYS extra clean inside and out. Although, is not "close" to the town, we don't mind it (10min tops, if u rent the golf car) We always enjoy our time while in Culebras and the Nature! I definitely recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a clean place with excellent service at an affordable price!

Overpriced and no internet during my stay

I spent two night here and no one appeared. I found the keys on the desk. My surprise was that internet didn't work, I texted to the owner and I didn't get any answer. I spent three days without internet and without to see any person from La Romana.
I wouldn't come back, it is expensive for the kind of accommodation, very very simple. I paid 100$ per night using booking.com

Exactly what we were looking for!

Kiwana was very sweet, knowledgeable and always very accessible. We were thrilled to find La Romana Apartments when our other (more expensive) hotel accommodation fell through. Kiwana told us about the island's history and gave us great tips about what beaches and restos to visit around the island. We only stayed one night, but would come back and stay longer if we could!
Even though the apartments are a bit of a walk from downtown/ferry terminal, they are very accessible by car/jeep. We were able to go to three of the best beaches (Zoni, Flamenco, and Tamarindo). 'Snorkeling in Culebra' rents snorkel gear and also does tours.
Foodwise, definitely check out Krusty Krab (we had camarones al ajillo) and Nina's for mofongos (traditional plantain dish). Service can be slower when there are a lot of people at the restos, but the food is worth the wait.

Very warm and helpful owner

We stayed at La Romana apartment for two nights and the owner was very friendly and helpful, which made me and my boyfriend feel at home. The studio was very simple and includes the basics; however, you don't go to Culebra to stay in. Definitely a good deal for the price!

EXCELLENT! as always! Great!

Owner was very patient with our 14 people party, including small children. Everything was very clean and in excellent condition! Will defiantly stay there again! It's worth it. Location is great. It's right in the middle of the island.
