Not a hotel but rather an Airbnb

Stay of 2 nights in this place, which is not a hotel, as there was no reception upon arrival, just an email to inform us that the room door was open… and the code for the key box. The room was large and clean, the bathroom was adequate but lacked storage, a quiet place despite the bar below that serves breakfast… starting at 10:00 AM! Too late, we did not try it.

Great Little Bar

We were staying nearby over Christmas . Being Christmas the bar was only open a couple of days in between then and new year, so only managed one visit, but really enjoyed it. The bar is rum by a young couple who were very friendly and when into great detail explaining their drinks and food. My wife and I enjoyed both the excellent food and ice coffee, which we followed with a couple of very good rum cocktails. We were unable to visit again due to the holiday season but would recommend the bar to anyone as our visit was really very enjoyable and we were only sorry time did not allowe us a second visit.

Gorgeous bar

We stopped here a few times for a juice. I recommend the apple, carrot and ginger :)
The couple who ran it were so lovely. Nice place to sit outside. Very quirky inside with lots to look at.
Really enjoyed it.

not to be repeated

Rooms 4 and 7 were like 2 dovecotes. You could barely stand up near the beds. Because they were also located right under the roof, it was unbearable because of the heat. Leaving a window open did not help much, but it was also discouraged because of 'vermin' that could get in.
Air conditioning is absolutely necessary here!

Brilliant cocktails and food

A brilliant stop off whilst spending time in Calheta. We had some of the best cocktails we’ve had in a long time and the food is also excellent. You can see the passion and enthusiasm that has gone into running The Rum Inn and we would highly recommend anyone to stay, eat or drink here.
