'Fantastic Private Villa Holiday' away from the hustle and bustle of the town
The owner Carlos was fantastic, he is easily contactable by phone/text and sorts any problem out quickly.
The Villa and pool were amazing, we had a super holiday as the pool is a really good size. The pool is waist high at the shallow end and I was out of my depth at the deep end (I am 5'6) It was a gradual slope at the deep end, so the pool was ideal for my 5 year old at the shallow end. The pool was perfectly clean and the water was great too, as it is their own treated spring water.
The villa is set in the mountains in a quiet location, so you definitely need a car to get provisions for your stay. The local Lidl was easy to get to for food and drink.
There were 4 sun beds and a double bed outside for lounging around the pool and hammocks in the shade. A couple more sun loungers would be good if everyone was around the pool at the same time, but our party of 12 were in and out of the pool at different times of the day, so it wasn't a problem for us.
The location of the villa is completely private and it was very tranquil being up in the mountains. The Villa and grounds are a good size and the views are super.
We dined outside every evening, as it was still nice and warm and there was good outdoor lighting. Carlos and family are lovely and helpful and were there to greet us on arrival and to take keys when we departed.

Perfect in every way
This was a wonderful villa and perfect for a family stay, you could really tell that Carlos the owner was passionate about his home and great attention to detail.
We stayed for a week in July and used it as a base to explore the Algarve, there are shops and restaurants within a short drive and the beach is only about 30 minutes drive.
Fabulous pool area, eating spaces and the rooms were very comfortable and spotless.
I would definitely visit again, if I was to be over critical the wifi is virtually non existent and maybe there could have been a electrical device to keep the hundreds of fly's out of the kitchen, but that is a problem with the Algarve during the summer.

Since the beginning of August we have internet vodafone 4th generation with unlimited traffic. Even during this month we will acquire an equipment kills electric flies because we recognize that this year there were many! Thank you for your constructive comment.

Fantastic stay at Monte da Alfarrobeira
The property owner (Carlos) was always accessable for any kind of questions or special requests. He was very kind and always on time. The property exceeded our expectations, it was very clean as well as spacious and has a stunning view on the algarve. The kitchen is fully equipped, bed sheets as well as towels are provided and the baths look freshly renovated and were of high quality. We especially liked the pool area, at which you can easily relax even when it's hot outside. Additionally, there is a nice barbecue area outside of the house. All in all, we had a fantastic stay at Monte da Alfarrobeira. The property owner, Carlos, provided us with all information we needed and even gave us suggestions for exploring the algarve.

Wunderbare Ferien in urbaner Umgebung
Tage bevor wir in der Villa Monte da Alfarrobeira angekommen sind, standen wir schon in regelmässigen whatsApp Kontakt mit Carlos; speditiv, informativ und umgehende Kommunikation; perfekt. In der Villa angekommen, nahm sich Carlos genügend Zeit, um uns alle Gegebenheiten im und ums Haus wie auch Restaurantempfehlungen und Einkaufsmöglichkeiten in der nahen Umgebung zu erklären.
Die Villa mit seiner prächtigen, urbanen Gartenanlage ist in tadellosem, sauberen Zustand. Die Zimmer, die Duschen wie auch der Wohnbereich sind freundlich und mit Liebe eingerichtet; die grosse, voll ausgestattete Küche lädt zum Kochen ein . Der Pool ist sauber, erfrischend und wird regelmässig gereinigt; der grosse Badebereich ist mit vielen bequemen Liegemöglichkeiten ausgestattet. Ein grosser Tisch lädt zum Lunchen oder Nachtessen unter grossen, alten Olivenbäumen ein. Die Aussicht ist unbeschreiblich schön. Der Pizzaofen ist genial und auch die Barbecue-Bereich mit Ping-Pong Tisch ist perfekt. Abgeschiedenheit (20 Min. nach Faro) und Natur pur ist die richtige Bezeichnung für die Villa Monte da Alfarrobeira; dies ist der richtige Ort für die Erholung, die wir gesucht und gefunden haben. Danke, lieber Carlos und Rute, dass wir in eurem schönen Haus unsere Ferien verbringen und uns gut erholen konnten.

Um Monte de Sonho
O Monte da Alfarrobeira em termos de posicionamento é excelente pois temos paz e sossego com uma vista de sonho quando estamos no monte, mas rapidamente chegamos a todo o lado onde podemos fazer comprar, ir à praia, passear....
Em termos de comodidade os quartos são de uma limpeza e conforto sem nada a apontar. A sala é confortável e espaçosa tendo muito espaço para quem tem crianças.
A piscina é excelente com uma cama perto que dá um ambiente super relaxante e romântico ;-)
Os donos são pessoas espetaculares com uma disponibilidade e atenção fora do comum...
Aconselho vivamente. Fui e penso voltar sempre que possivel
