You gotta give this an A+ FOR THE view

Ok the room is for surfers with just the basic bed. No frills but holly cow, the view and the beach. Sleep to the sound of the waves and during the day, happy voices enjoying the water and sand. Two excellent restaurants just steps away. Just a wonderful place to read, relax and enjoy.

Beach stay

We, family of 3, stayed here two nights. We got off to a rocky start since we could not find the place. The address states number 54 so Google send us to what should be 54. This was on the other end of the penisula. After about 20minutes of phonecalls and walking around we found the place. Be advised: it is right at the beginning of the peninsula so don't let google maps tell you otherwise. We were greeted by Daniel, the host. We were assigned two rooms away from each other but he offerd us the bigger appartment + room so we could be closer together. The rooms are complete with everything you need but it does need a bit of a redo. Everything was a bit outdated. The beds were comfartable and the shower warm, and in summer that is what you basicly need. Breakfast is served on the rooftop restaurant area. It is made to your personal liking. Eventhough it is right on the road it is actually quiet. Nice hang out but do think the price tag was a bit on the high side.

Amazing host and a lovely place to stay

A great experience already started with a friendly message asking us what we would like to eat for our requested vegans breakfast. We would have been happy with anything but Daniel made it a point to get something we would absolutely like.
Upon arrival we were met with a smile and got an instant upgrade to the main house. If you doubting, the beach views are definitely worth the extra buck.
The guesthouse is smack in the middle of the action but quiet once the crowds go home. Parking on a Sunday was a bit difficult so come early or late.
The room was light and spotless. We were not fans of the see through wall separating the bathroom and room but fashioned something with a towel to make us more comfortable.
Breakfast was great and brought to the room in the morning. Again we were met with a smile when we asked to eat before breakfast time because we had plans to go scuba diving.
As a wonderful surprise, Daniel had checked with the dive center if there would be (vegan) food for us on the boat or the island. When the answer was no, he prepared wonderful lunch boxes for us which we truly appreciated.
All in all an excellent choice!
We will be back for sure.

Great hotel on the beach with modern rooms.

This was a great place to stay while in Baleal. We had and ocean front room that was clean, well appointed and quiet. It was close (a car drive away) to many surf breaks. There is a beginner beach right out front. The outer break in front of the hotel is very localized and competitive. My husband had several locals drop in on him. Better to get out of the crowd and drive to the other breaks. There is a phenomenal restaurant right next door to the hotel called Taberna Do Ganhao. Long waits but really worth it!

MAI PIU'!
Appartamento sporco, umido, ingiovabile. Biancheria da letto e da bagno vecchia e macchiata.
Staff fantasma. Servizio reception inesistente. Unico spazio comune è la terrazza dove viene servita la colazione all'aperto, senza possibilità di fruizione nel caso di pioggia (frequente) e vento forte. Menu della colazione va consumato e scelto su internet la sera prima. Cibo e bevande di qualità pessima, porzioni ridicole, pane scongelato e poi tostato, cereali da discount. Capita anche che lo staff non si presenti affatto ad aprire e servire la colazione, quando lo fa è sempre in ritardo. Diciamo che sono dilettanti allo sbaraglio e che hanno utilizzato un buon fotografo e photoshop.
Da evitare.
