Very nice place
We enjoyed staying at Zarco very much! The location is so convenient, room is clean, staff are friendly. A special thanks to André, as he is always happy to help and always welcoming whenever we see him ☺️.
Breakfast is very nice, and we even got packed lunches on the day we checked out.

Be carefull with your money and belongings here!
We stayed at Zarco B&B Bed & Breakfast this week in Madeira. Unfortunately, on the second day of our stay, €100 was taken from my crossbody bag in the wardrobe during the day when we were hiking. Immediatelly, When I reported this, the staff member did not make any real effort to resolve the issue – she just said she would ask the cleaner - answer "i know her and she said she did not touch anything" She expressed regret, but I was only told that I should keep my money in the safe and not in my bag.
I want to warn all future guests to be extremely careful with their belongings here. I also urge the management of Zarco B&B Bed & Breakfast to take serious action to ensure this does not happen again and that tourists are properly protected.
Apart from this incident, the breakfast, location, and overall condition of the hotel were fine, and we would have been satisfied. However, losing money on the very first day and feeling unprotected completely ruined the experience for us.
To be honest, i am not angry, but very sad and dissapointed because this never happened to me in my life in hotel and I fell in love with Madeira ;/

"Pico do Arieiro" small and noisy room
We stayed at this hotel for a holiday in Madeira, attracted by its central location and convenient for sightseeing. However, we found some aspects that made the experience less pleasant.
Our room overlooked the square side, and at night the noise of the buzz rose, amplified by the echo between the buildings. The room was really small and, at least on our side, very noisy. For those visiting Madeira for trekking and needing rest, a quiet room would definitely be preferable. In addition, the environment of the "Pico do Arieiro" room was particularly cramped, making it difficult to find space to relax on the return from excursions.
In general, the reception was good, as was the breakfast and cleanliness, but the quality of the rest was greatly affected. I would recommend this property only to those who have no problems with noise or confined spaces.

Schönes B&B mitten im Ausgehviertel
Schönes B&B am Rand der Stadt.
Das Zimmer und die Ausstattung, da gibt es nicht zu meckern.
Der Frühstücksraum gemütlich mit großer Auswahl.
Das Personal sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit.
Zur Promenade 2 Minuten, in die Altstadt 10Min.
Viele Bars und Restaurants in unmittelbarer Nähe
Für Leute, die mit geschlossenen Fenstern und laufender Klimaanlage schlafen können, ideal. Ich brauche offene Fenster und das geht dort so gut wie nicht.
Durch die vielen ausgehe Möglichkeiten ist es bis in die frühen Morgenstunden ziemlich laut, da die Gassen sehr eng sind und es unheimlich hallt.
Trotzdem volle Punktzahl, wir haben uns wohl
Einen Kritikpunkt gibt es dennoch… ein nicht funktionierender Safe, der nicht verdübelt ist, nutzt keinem. Den kann man in jedem Rücksack raustragen. Ergo habe ich immer alles mitgeschleppt
