Good experience.

From the outside, the building looks old, but it's a different story when you go inside. Large and very comfortable room for the family (2 adults and 2 children); we rested very well and without any noise. Perfect breakfast, although without many pretensions. We parked on the street without a problem and got around Lisbon by Uber.

Best cost x benefit in Lisbon.

Our experience at Dom Joao was so bao that, after 3 weeks of our stay, we returned for another night before our return flight.
I confess that, at first, we did not have high expectations but, the hotel surprised us immediately. Miriam was who welcomed us on both stays and she is a person's sympathy. Gentle and helpful staff, comfortable rooms, clean, quiet. Mancha coffee simple, but good. Great location. In my last stay in Lisbon I paid for a 4 stars that had no quality of 2; now Don Joao will be our home in Lisbon.

Respect needed !wouldn’t come back!

Hotel itself is ok,the room was absolutely fine
-Negatives are it is too far out
Although Ubers are easy and cheap,but we usually stay a bit closer to the Avenida !
-Not the best situation and outlook!
-No milk for tea and coffee facilities
-And very dark lightening in the bathroom( women trying to do make up)!!
-And a full length mirror is usual in hotels
Front desk staff polite!!
But the being woken up by very disrespectful cleaning staff at 8.30 am is not good enough….
Loud talking outside our room and playing music too loud
They woke us all up!
It’s a total lack of respect
And because of this I will have this down as the worst hotel I have stayed in in Lisbon and I come here often !!
Not good enough
Please teach staff respect for paying clients ( we always respect them by keeping the rooms in a good state)!!

Lack of respect

Dear,
I come through this to express my dissatisfaction with the difficulty in getting in touch with the hotel. I recently stayed from 1 to 4 September in room 104 and after check-out, I realized that I forgot a pair of shoes in the room.
Since then, I have tried several times to get in touch by phone to inform what happened and check the possibility of recovering the item, however, unfortunately, I did not succeed in any of the attempts,
The phone is simply not answered, which I consider a lack of respect for the customers.
I kindly ask you to check if the shoes have been found and contact me urgently to resolve this situation. Thank you for your attention and I look forward to a return.

Great hotel

The Dom João Glamour Hotel is a cosy 2★ well located (a ~1.7 km from the centre and 500 m from the metro Anjos), with 26 clean, air-conditioned rooms and some with balcony. Free Wi-Fi, delicious breakfast served on a patio/terrace, efficient 24-hour Service and multilingual Welcoming. Rooms and bathrooms are compact, and the Wi‐Fi signal can fail. Excellent for short stays in Lisbon.
