Relaxing stay in a tranquil setting
My husband and I and our dog spent a wonderful three nights at Quinta do Bom Vento. We cannot say enough good things about the Quinta. The grounds and the individual rooms are beautifully-designed, cozy, and private. I sent a photo of the main house to a friend of mine, who said, "That is so gorgeous, it doesn't look real!" Indeed, Quinta do Bom Vento could be a movie set for a European rom com. In addition to the tranquil setting and the lovely restored buildings, the owners Rich and SAM provided a warm welcome and very useful tourist advice about what to do and see in the area. Our room was fully equipped with everything we needed, and we especially appreciated the snacks, coffee, eggs, along with the fresh bread and SAM's freshly-made scones one morning. Our dog enjoyed the small terrace outside our room and taking walks in the surrounding countryside. We felt relaxed and well cared for. We highly recommend Quinta do Bom Vento, and plan to stay there again, next time we visit the Silver Coast area.

Fantastic hosts in rustic Portugal!
Our second visit to this wonderful venue! Our trip this year was every bit as good as last year and this time we shared some of the time with our Son and his wife.
What makes this holiday experience so special are the 2 hosts : Sam and Rich Malone!! They truly look after all of their guests and ensure they have a perfect holiday. Quinta do Bom Vento is set in a rustic, rural part of Portugal just a few miles from the delightful town of Obidos which has to be one of Portugal's hidden gems.
Rosemary and I have no hesitation in fully recommending this venue if you intend to see some beautiful scenery and enjoy 1st class accommodation with very special hosts!

Best Holiday ever!
We are a couple in our seventies and we were looking for a quiet homely stay in a more rural area of Portugal. We couldn't have found a more perfect place for our stay. Sam and Rick were the perfect hosts. They were there to warmly welcome us on arrival and were concerned that we were later than expected. From then on, it just got better and better. The fridge was well stocked when we arrived so we didn't have to go out to the Supermarket on arrival and a delicious barbecued chicken awaited us.
The house we stayed in was in the Portuguese style as were the other accommodations on the site which resembled a little Portuguese street. We really appreciated the thought that had gone into equipping the house with lots of little extras to make our stay as comfortable as possible. The kitchen was well equipped and we cooked most of our meals at the house. We must also mention the Pellet stove in the main room. One or two evenings were a bit chilly and Rick showed us how to light the stove. It gave out a good heat and made the room nice and cosy. Also provided were electric blankets in the beds. Definitely a luxury for us.
Another surprise was when Sam brought warm fresh bread and pastries from the local bakery and delivered them to our door. At this point, we were beginning to wonder when we would wake up from this dream!!
Sam and Rich were always around during the day and gave us lots of useful information. They also arranged a little social gathering with the other visitors so we could have a chat and enjoy a drink and some lovely snacks mostly provided by Sam.
We can honestly say that this is the best place we have ever stayed and it is very likely that we will return in the future.

The Best Hosts in the Airbandb World
Just visited for the second year in a row with Sam and Rich. We needed to get to Rome and wanted to head to that side of the world from Canada a tad early. We enjoyed ourselves so much last year we decided to duplicate it and that we did. The property is so beautiful and tranquil. You will not find better hosts anywhere in the world than Sam and Rich. They make the trip so easy and enjoyable. You won't regret your decision to stay with the.

The Best Obidos Accommodation
Wow! Rich and Sam are just the most amazing hosts and have created a piece of paradise in the Portuguese countryside! Away from the hustle and bustle, but close to all the major tourist spots in the area so you can easily visit everything that the region has to offer - and there is plenty to see and do!
We stayed in the Mediterranean Garden Suite for 4 nights, it was fully equipped and had the most fantastic views over the valley - great just to put your feet up, relax and read a book!
The suite is fully stocked on arrival and on top of that Sam drops off fresh bread and pastries in the mornings!
Will definitely be back!
