PERFECT family trip
Incredible hotel, it has everything, in our case a family weekend to celebrate a birthday. We were 18 people and everything was PERFECT.
Inside the hotel grounds you have everything and for everyone, from taking a walk and seeing animals with the youngest members of the family, to going to the SPA or spending the afternoon at the pool. We give it a 10/10 in everything; from reception, rooms, facilities, breakfast. And all with staff that is always attentive.

Bem, no geral, mas… / Well, generally speaking, but …
Hospedo-me neste hotel há mais de 10 anos, uma ou duas vezes por ano, durante 7 a 8 noites de cada vez. No geral, está tudo bem, mas há uma coisa que acabei de perceber: depois de tantas estadias, sempre que faço o check-in, fazem-me a mesma pergunta: «É a primeira vez que se hospeda no nosso hotel?» A sério? Nunca ouviram falar de CRM (Customer Relationship
Management)?
O melhor é o seguinte. Ao pequeno-almoço, servem ovos mexidos com leite (ou algo semelhante), que são desagradáveis... A nosso pedido, no sábado serviram-nos, como alternativa, ovos estrelados, que estavam muito bons. No dia seguinte, domingo, às 8 da manhã, com apenas 4 hóspedes a tomar o pequeno-almoço, voltámos a pedir ovos e a resposta simples do pessoal foi que os ovos só podem ser pedidos de segunda a sábado, segundo a cozinha, pois ao domingo há mais gente e a cozinha não consegue dar resposta a esses pedidos extra… a sério? Num hotel de 4 estrelas? Estão a brincar, não estão?
Como cliente, isso é difícil de compreender e fica-se desiludido, pois são os pequenos gestos que motivam a voltar a reservar… que pena!

I’ve been staying at this hotel for over 10 years, once or twice a year for 7–8 nights each time. Generally speaking, everything’s fine, but one thing I’ve just realised is that, after so many stays, I’m asked the same question every time I check in: ‘Is this your first time at our hotel?’ Seriously? Haven’t they ever heard of CRM (Customer Relationship

The best bit is this. At breakfast, they serve long, runny scrambled eggs with milk (or something similar) which are unpleasant… At our request, on Saturday they served us fried eggs as an alternative, which were very good. The following day, on Sunday at 8 am, with only four guests having breakfast, we asked for eggs again and the staff’s simple reply was that eggs can only be ordered from Monday to Saturday, according to the kitchen, because on Sundays there are more people and the kitchen can’t cope with those extras… seriously? In a 4-star hotel? They must be joking, surely?
As a guest, that’s hard to understand and it’s disappointing, as it’s the little touches that make you want to book again… what a shame!

Excellent hotel, staff and facilities
Very modern hotel, the rooms are very well equiped, modern and new. The staff is very professional and always ready to help. And there are excellent facilities: restaurant, bar, spa, ...

For disabled guests, it is very poor; they do not help with luggage, the shower cannot be used with a chair, it does not fit, and during the day there is no way to keep the light out; they do not help at all with visits to the lake, gardens, etc., impossible slopes for wheelchairs, and you do not receive help from anyone; in the room, there is nothing in the fridge, the restaurant is very good, but the staff is very attentive, like in the lobby; everything is a problem for a four-star hotel, and the menus are not available in Spanish or English at reception; there is no greeting, no asking if you need anything, just a goodbye when you leave the hotel; for disabled guests, it is very poor.

How we were received
Hotel Minho was an excellent experience. All staff very friendly. The facilities are excellent. The breakfast is very good. There is a huge farm where you can walk, with lots of animals. The pools are very good, has an outdoor and indoor pool with spa. We stayed five nights and we'll be back.
