RELAXING PEACEFUL HOLIDAY IN A TRANQUIL SETTING

A lovely traditional Portugese property, nice open plan living area and two large bedrooms and bathroom, complete with everything you need. The balcony overlooks the private well kept garden and pool, all set in a residential area 10 minutes walk from the Marina, golf, beach, bars and shopping area. NIcely situated to explore other towns and villages within 30 minutes to 1 hour car ride.We had a wonderful month of nice hot weather. The owner and the staff in the reception are so friendly, helpful and welcoming nothing is too much trouble, this just completed our stay and we look forward to going back again in the near future. Highly recommended. Thank you Carlos for all your help.

Very disappointing!
At first glance, this apartment is charming, though quite small for the six guests it claims to accommodate. There were only three of us, and even then, space felt just adequate.
The garden is lovely, leading out to a beautiful swimming pool — definitely one of the highlights of the property.
Two of the bedrooms are a decent size and include wardrobes, but the third bedroom is disappointing and brings down the overall standard.
My en-suite bathroom had not been cleaned thoroughly, and oddly, there was an empty picture frame on the wall. Also, none of the bedrooms had mirrors, which was inconvenient.
One major concern was the outdoor furniture. A chair collapsed beneath my very petite friend due to rot underneath. Thankfully, she wasn’t seriously injured, but the management’s response was very disappointing. They claimed they weren’t responsible for things “outside their control” — but surely furniture maintenance falls under the landlord’s duties?
We also happened to be there during a complete blackout — an unusual and unexpected event, yes, but not unheard of in areas prone to electrical storms like Portugal. Still, there wasn’t even a basic torch provided. We sat in total darkness, with no moonlight — it felt surreal and a bit unsettling. In such situations, some foresight from the property owner would have made a big difference.
I will not be returning to this place

Holiday in the Algarve 2010
I went on holiday recently to the Algarve.
The place I stayed at was called Solar dos Pinheiros, Vilamoura.Algarve, Portugal.
The Apartment is set in beautiful surroundings, and in a very peaceful location.
There is a kitchen with microwave fridge/freezer.
The rooms are all spacious and well decorated .
I particularly enjoyed sitting out on the large balcony over looking the pool and olive trees.
A very nice place to get away from the hustle and bustle of modern life.
The good thing about selfe catering holidays is that you can do everything at your own pace.
