⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Absolute top hotel – modern luxury hotel in a perfect location!
The Mercure Hotel in Alba Iulia exceeded my expectations in every way. For me, this hotel definitely belongs to the absolute top class and, in my opinion, even deserves 6 stars. From the very first moment, you can tell that this is a very modern and high-quality hotel. Everything looks new, stylish, and well thought out down to the last detail.
The rooms are exceptionally large, modernly furnished, and extremely comfortable. I was particularly impressed by the private balcony that each room has. This makes the entire room feel even brighter and more pleasant. The furnishings are absolutely high-quality and modern. Air conditioning, a large flat-screen TV, comfortable seating options, and a very comfortable and clean bed ensure a perfect stay.
The cleanliness also deserves the highest praise. Both the rooms and the sanitary facilities were in absolutely impeccable condition. Everything was very well-kept, hygienic, and modernly equipped. Care products were, of course, available. One immediately notices that great importance is placed on quality and cleanliness here.
The breakfast was simply first-class and left nothing to be desired. The selection was very large, fresh, and of high quality. Particularly pleasant was the quiet and stylish atmosphere in the breakfast area. The breakfast is served, to my knowledge, from around 7:00 AM or 7:30 AM, which is certainly pleasant for vacationers. For very early travelers, an earlier start might still be advantageous — nevertheless, the quality of the breakfast was absolutely excellent.
Also noteworthy is the stylish hotel bar, where both drinks and food are offered. Dinner can also be enjoyed directly at the hotel. The entire gastronomic offering made a high-quality and very professional impression.
Although the hotel advertises a 24-hour service, I personally had the impression that it becomes significantly quieter during the late night hours and many areas are scaled back. Nevertheless, there was always a night watchman on site, which made one feel safe and well taken care of.
The parking options are also excellent. There are plenty of parking spaces available around the hotel, which are additionally secured by barriers. This provides a pleasant sense of security. I also found the available guest computer particularly practical, which can be used by hotel guests — an additional service that is not found everywhere these days.
Another highlight is the available wellness area with sauna. Although I personally did not use it, it is a significant plus that the hotel offers this comfort as well.
The location of the hotel is nearly perfect. The historic old town of Alba Iulia, with its impressive sights, churches, museums, restaurants, and cafés, is just a few minutes' walk away. This makes the hotel ideal for both city travelers and those seeking relaxation.
I found the modern atmosphere throughout the hotel particularly impressive. Everything feels elegant, high-quality, and at the same time very pleasant and relaxing. You can immediately tell that this hotel was opened only recently and is equipped to the latest standards.
Overall, my stay at the Mercure Hotel Alba Iulia was absolutely excellent. Comfort, cleanliness, amenities, location, and service are all at the highest level here. I felt extremely comfortable throughout my entire stay and would be very happy to return.
For me, it is one of the best and most modern hotels overall — an absolute recommendation!

Ask upfront for dinner possibility, you could get surprised by being asked to wait for an hour….. twice. Not handy if you left very early and would like to have a small dinner…
