Expensive materials poorly maintained! Owner doesn’t care about the guests once the money exchanged hands!
We received no check-in instructions…just a “call me when you get there” from the owner when WE called him with the ETA.
The muddy road became unusable for the last 250 meters as it was excavated with a big trench down the middle. We called again and he was surprised the power lines were not buried by that time. No apology, just a nudge to go on foot, in the rain, on that trenched muddy forest road. When we refused, he told us to wait until the power lines are buried and the road covered and usable again. Told us it wouldn’t take more than 30 minutes.
45 minutes later we called again and said we were tired from the road, it is evening, we really wanna start our 3 nights vacation.
He said ok, and about 10 minutes later, the excavator covered up the trench so we could pass. As soon as we made it to the parking spot, they started escalating the road again, making it impossible to leave if we wanted to.
The acces to the room was done via some wooded steps spaced out for giant people. It was a dangerous descent to say the least. We made to our cabin via a muddy narrow walkway, behind the other cabins.
Extremely bad check-in experience.
The room was nice when we entered, it looked expensive and posh. Had a kitchen with every utensil one might need. On the Bally facing side of the cabin, there was a deck with a sunken jacuzzi.
Upon a closer look we saw the poor maintenance and cleaning of the cabin. Under and around the couch there were bred crumbs and dirt, the cutlery was rinsed but not washed, had lots of food stains. Some of the power sockets were hanging out of the wall, held in place only by the wires. The bathroom sink faucet was lose, so poorly fit and probably never checked.
The positives: the view was amazing, the materials were on the expensive side: bed, furniture, tiles, water heater, jacuzzi…everything except the TV.
The negative: everything else.
For 200 euros a night, no breakfast, isolated by the closed access road……the view is not enough.
