Nice

Nice and tidy , the lady from the property kept my room worm before my arrival. The view was also great . I had one of the rooms with lake view and in the same time a massive balcony where I could smoke . Great place.

Far from a 3-star hotel – more like a nightmare

This hotel does not deserve its 3-star rating — at best, it’s a 1- or 2-star place. From the moment we arrived, it was disappointing. There was a bad smell throughout the room, the ventilation system was old and extremely noisy, and all the furniture was visibly worn out. The bathroom was dirty, the TV didn’t work, and neither did the air conditioning — in the middle of summer!
On top of that, there was constant noise from the nearby terraces, making it almost impossible to sleep. Nothing felt clean or safe. I honestly believe this hotel should be inspected by the authorities. It’s not just below expectations — it’s unacceptable.
Avoid this place if you value your comfort and safety.

To avoid

I stay for one night at hotel Merty in Mamaia, Romania in June 2020.The hotel is located in a noisy area. The terrace was shared and there were people smoking and partying outside so we couldn't use it and more than that we couldn't open the window because of the smoke and the noise.
The room was not clean. I asked them to change the sheets and they did that, but the next day, just before the check out they cancelled the reservation to avoid any bad review.

Dissapointed about the expérience

I stayed for 1 night between 6-7 June. Just before the checkout they cancelled the reservation in order not to receive a not so positive review. We found stains on the bed sheets, hair on the bed, it was loud outside - the balcony door could not be kept open. The balcony was shared with the other room and the neighbours were smoking all night - again keeping the door open was not an option since all smoke came inside the room. This place is in a very noisy area: there were parties and anniversaries in the hotel restaurant - we were surprised by this - we could not sleep the whole night.

Quite disappointing

I stayed at this hotel for 1 night. Initially from the outside it looks nice, but in the inside it lacks cleaning in the room, on the floors..i found dust pretty much everywhere in the room,as well as bedsheets with stains.On top of all, at breakfast the tablecloth was again full of stains...
I think by improving cleaning and quality of interior design, it could become quite a good choice due to favorable location.
