Best place to stay in Targu Mures
The guest house offers a bar, free Wi-Fi, and all rooms are air conditioned.
Rooms at Villa Helvetia also have cable TV and a refrigerator. The private bathrooms come with a shower or a bathtub, free toiletries and a hairdryer on request.
Breakfast is very good vith a big variety of food.
This is my favorite place in Târgu Mureş, being the first option when I schedule delegations in the area.

AVOID!!! Worst service & hospitality EVER
Arrived in the evening, key was left at the reception as there is limited (very limited) reception. Room was cold as ice as and no one to help, no one to fix the problem. After several messages and phone calls in the middle of the night finally someone endured picking up the phone. They almost didn’t believe me as they didn’t had complaints before. And after finally leveling with me that it is cold even with 2 sheets and the AC can only give cold air, they said they are sorry but they cannot help, especially that the heating works only until 10PM. Were promised a discount of this night, but at checkout was refused the discount and were thrown a ‘we’re sorry’.
3-4 other colleagues had the same issue, but did not complain (for one of them 14 degrees were cold, but bearable). When brought this to the attention of the staff they simply said they disagree and basically shut down the conversation.
The pictures show a nice hotel with big rooms, well, expect much smaller ones. This was one of the biggest ripoffs. Highly advise against staying here, especially during the cold season. The lack of hospitality, the lack of care towards the customers, the lack of availability and the lack of respect, not to mention the momentary lie (of a final discount of the first night) just to get rid of a complaint make this place one of the worst, while for unknown reasons being rated way too high.

An excellent stay at Villa Helvetia
The room was light and airy and quite large, the white furniture enhanced the feeling of spaciousness. The bed was very comfortable, there was a large wardrobe with a good amount of storage space, the TV had 160 channels which was a bonus. There was also a fridge, efficient aircon and the wifi worked well. I liked the information booklet which saves asking the staff a load of questions. The bathroom was good with a powerful shower, sachets of shower gel and soap dispenser provided.
Breakfast was an absolute treat with a self serve selection as well as cooked items brought to the table. The omelette was delicious, I also had a selection of items from the buffet. Villa Helvetica is a gem of place and I enjoyed my 2 night stay there, it is conveniently located in a quiet residential area and is less than a 10 minute walk from Piața Trandafirilor. I would definitely stay again.
