Fantastic neighborhood and nice hotel. It has everything one needs without being fussy. An incredible value.

Great location, close to 2 MRT stations & good cheap food

The hotel was very busy during our stay (Singapore GP was on at the time). We arrived early due to our flight, the staff happily stored our luggage & managed to get us into our room 2 hours earlier than check in. We had a 4 night stay in a room with a terrace. The room was very clean & serviced daily. All staff that we encountered from check in, to the breakfast room & cleaning staff were very welcoming & friendly. We had a minibar in our room that had a selection of soft drinks & snacks. It was replenished daily & included in the price of our room. The terrace was compact but enjoyable to be able to sit out in the air rather than the room. WiFi worked well. Toiletries on the wall of the shower & hand basin (separate to the shower/toilet room). Bed was large, comfortable & great pillows.
The breakfast room was small for the size of the hotel, but staff worked very efficiently to seat people promptly. There was a vast array of breakfast selections available & despite being busy, you did not feel pressured to more out quickly.
There were several "hawker" venues very close by offering a range of food & drinks, however, some only accepted cash, so go prepared.
We travelled only via the MRT & local buses, using a multi day tourist pass. There are two stations close by Bendemeer & Lavender (slightly further away). The roof top pool was lovely, with lounges & other seating available.
Would have no hesitation staying again.

The staff at this hotel were the icing on our Singapore cake.

An excellently located hotel with very helpful staff. Getting around Singapore by bus is very easy and the hotel is close to several bus routes. All the staff were very helpful and the reception staff in particular went the extra mile for us. The ever present and especially helpful Firdaus deserved special mention as did the manager who helpfully agreed to extend our stay by a few hours to bridge the gap between normal checkout time and our departure for the airport.

Prefer this Mercure over Mercure ICON Singapore City Centre, this location is a bit further out, however, catching a Grab is relatively inexpensive and you can always use pubic transport. The room is much larger than the City Centre place, lots of hawker markets and local restaurants. Overall a good experience

Death Certificate Requested prior to cancellation approval

I had booked Trip for my Family as I returned from working in Canada after 5 months. Unfortunately on my way hom my Mother passed away in Scotland. I contacted the hotel and asked what they could do, could the booking be moved rebooked at a later date. I was told in a very Stern Way to get a refund I had to produce the Death Certificate of my Mother. As I cannot do so they have refused my request for a Cancelation.
Unfortunately we are not going to Singapore but to Scotland now.
I am dumbstruck I will also never use this Hotel ever again
