The best place to stay IN UMass

If you are attending an event at UMass, there's no place more at the center of things than this. The rooms are very well appointed, the WiFi is fast and the showers are great. The breakfast is very decent and parking is free. The main downside is that to get in and out of the hotel takes time as you need to go through the slow roads inside the campus - so plan accordingly. Otherwise, a great option!

It was a very nice place to stay. My son was there for percussion camp and staying here made it a breeze for me check up on him. The campus is beautiful.

Great stay for a campus event. Easy, clean convenient and bed was very comfy. Good linens all a round. Priced appropriately. Solid for business and academia related stuff.

Nice safe stay on a New England college campus

One of the main things we want out of a hotel is safety, and sometimes it's hard to know from a listing. We knew Hotel UMass, being on a college campus, would be safe, and it was. We had a great view from our room. The breakfast was above average, with things for us to eat (we're vegan), even oat milk creamer. The staff was very pleasant. Parking was a little hard to find at first - you have to go behind the hotel and there was some construction going on when we were there - but actually very convenient, with a dedicated floor in the garage for the hotel. Parking was $6/day, which was very reasonable. The location was great. You can take a little walk around campus if you want, it's very pleasant. The room was cozy. The one thing that was unpleasant was the hallway from the parking garage to the building smelled really bad, like spoiled yogurt, then better the next day, then even worse with a different bad smell. It wasn't visibly dirty, it was just an unventilated little hallway. Hopefully they get that figured out, but it was pretty minor in the grand scheme of things.
