The Time of Your Life…..
My daughter was married this past weekend at the Bedford Post Inn. Their contract required the 8 rooms at the inn be included in the price of the venue. The rooms are pricey but that is my only sadness regarding the Bedford Post Inn.
Otherwise, the Inn is an absolute blessing as a wedding venue. My daughter exclaims it was the happiest day of her life! The staff there are totally remarkable. Matthew, Ruby, Carly are a few notables to be mentioned. They left no stone unturned in providing excellent excellent service, responses and the overseeing of their staff. It was a sight to behold. Hard working. Their desire was to constantly please the bride and groom and their guests! The dinner was superb…my daughter chose her menu after taste testing all their delectables! I watched the wait staff as they served the guests timely, happily, under the very caring eye of Matthew, the overseer of the event.
The grounds are stunning! More than stunning! The rooms at the inn are fresh and clean, and luxurious, with fresh flowers, and huge bath towels, and a shower with plenty of hot water!
My son-in-law and daughter chose this venue upon first glance! They loved their vision of their wedding at the Bedford Post Inn and this venue made all their dreams come true! Mine too! Thank you to everyone… from the minute you walked in the door to the time you left! Remarkable!

Best Place to Stay In Westchester!
We waited for years go here given some very bad reviews that we read online. Over the years, there have been a number of different management teams that have tried to make a go of it. Something never clicked. I get it-the place is small. Only 8 rooms make it hard to generate the revenue to make the Inn and the restaurant profitable. That was then, this is now. We had a GREAT stay. The smallness was a plus--the staff knew our names almost immediately. We felt like we were staying in a friend's country home. The food under the new owners is simply terrific. We cannot wait to return.

Stunning property with beautiful and comfortable rooms. Excellent on site breakfast and dinner. Extremely tranquil. Conveniently situated in the heart of Westchester County. Helpful and pleasant staff.

Exceptional experience.
Our family had an exceptional experience at The Bedford Post Inn. Our Hostess, Susan, made the experience even more lovely with her kind hospitality and expert knowledge of local sight seeing. The Barn breakfast was delicious and we enjoyed the outdoor hearth and S’mores. The fall-foliage hike adjacent to the Inn is an easy and pleasurable climb among the tall trees and rock formations. We look forward to returning as we were truly sad to be departing such a lovely place during our tour of New York State.

Luxury Price, Motel-Level Noise. A “Retreat” That Forgot the Quiet
From the outside, Bedford Post Inn looks like the perfect countryside escape. Charming, refined, and exactly what you hope for in a quiet weekend away. That impression disappears quickly once you’re inside.
This is not a peaceful inn. It is unbelievably loud.
With only eight rooms, four on each floor, you would expect a calm, intimate experience. Instead, every sound travels. The narrow staircase amplifies constant foot traffic from both guests and staff, and doors slam nonstop. Around midnight, when people head up from the Tavern, it becomes impossible to ignore. What should feel like a luxury stay starts to feel chaotic and disruptive.
Even the guest lounge, which is genuinely beautiful, offers no escape. Sitting by the fire should be relaxing, but the noise from the Tavern carries straight up through the building. At one point it sounded like a full party had taken over below us.
For what this place charges, the lack of sound insulation and overall awareness is surprising. It feels like no one managing the property has actually stayed here overnight.
If you are looking for a quiet, restorative weekend in the country, this is not it. If you are willing to pay a premium to listen to stomping, slamming doors, and late-night noise, then this might work for you.
