Needed more helpful staff at the golf course. We were just sent off with no directions … had to ask for practice area … just really didn’t feel very special. We worked it out and the course was well maintained.

The service was terrible and the hotel is not clean. No soap/ shampoo in the dispensers, no buckets for ice, 2 coffee pods total in a double room with no service to the room for 3 days. The barista at the coffee bar didn’t know how to make a latte and they don’t have drip coffee. The next day they had coffee drinks but no straws. Barista admitted he just hadn’t had a chance to grab them. We attended a wedding and the chicken was rock hard and inedible. At the Trailhead restaurant we had the same server twice that didn’t want to be there and forgot utensils both times so we had to wait for him to mosy back before we could eat. The grounds are beautiful but the staff clearly aren’t well trained or just don’t care. Do not recommend.

Beautiful and a wonderful place to stay. The major downfall for me was that the price of both food and beverage was extraordinarily high.

If you are traveling in the summer for the pool with kids, it’s only open until 8, yet the adult pool is open until 10? I’d say not a family friendly hotel option. There was also a wedding the weekend we stayed and after reporting our 1k a night room was thumping at 1am and screaming and laughter, the staff ignored the first request and then the second call they must have told I reported it. Traveling as a single mother with her son, the loud neighbors proceeded to bang on my door, run along the lawn and pored a sticky white substance on my car. I was scared as there was no way to leave without walking through the courtyard where they were and calling 911 would have further scared my son. The staff did nothing but escalate the harassment. Very disappointing. Beautiful grounds, assume great if you golf. Decent food, no room service and never enough staffing for quick service in dine in: coffee was great.

No decaf for pregnant ladies
I chose Juniper Preserve because it markets itself as a luxury wellness resort that is family friendly, but unfortunately our experience fell far short of those expectations. I’m pregnant and thought this would be a great relaxing trip off season.
The issues began upon arrival when we discovered stained bed sheets that also smelled strongly of cologne or fragrance. After calling for assistance and waiting approximately 45 minutes, we were told housekeeping had already left for the day. Weird that housekeeping isn’t on property all day, but okay. Clean sheets were eventually delivered, but I ended up changing the bed myself.
That evening, the bathroom door somehow locked from the outside, leaving us unable to access the bathroom or our toddler’s medication. Resolving the issue took far longer than it should have and created an incredibly stressful situation while we were trying to get a tired 3-year-old to bed. They eventually opened the door to the next room so we could use the bathroom and then left us. We found out the next day that meant we could now use the second room as an accommodation - which no one explicitly explained. We had to ask the front desk what the deal was with the open door.
I also discovered there was no decaf coffee available anywhere on the property. After being sent from one outlet to another, I was ultimately told the nearest decaf coffee was about 30 minutes away by car. Hello - that’s an hour trip for coffee. For a resort that promotes wellness and relaxation, it was surprising that there was not even decaffeinated tea available in the room.
Any one of these issues on its own might have been understandable. What was disappointing was the pattern: problems arose, but there was very little ownership or proactive service recovery. Time and again, the burden seemed to fall on us to find solutions rather than the resort.
Management’s resolution was to refund the $105 resort fee and late checkout. While appreciated, it did not feel commensurate with the cumulative impact these issues had on our stay. They said the room was the accommodation because we now were using a living room. I explained that we didn’t ask for a living room, we just needed access to a working bathroom…
Management, Josef was not understanding at all.
The property had great views, but the service and operational execution did not match the luxury experience being advertised.
