Best #1 Historic Hotel for a reason!
Barry the bellman was a jovial greeting met us at the door and took great care of us. The desk staff was wonderful and the hotel and area just beautiful

Much needed improvement on the food there
Historical hotel, but terrible food every time I go there the food is subpar. We had two appetizers and a salad with chicken. Thumbs down to all three items. I do not recommend this place for dinner. Drinks were good!

Beautiful historic hotel
Great historic hotel. Got a star view room on July 4th on the 5th floor. The valets and desk people went above and beyond. Literally drove to the convenience store for me for energy drinks for my fridge. Tip them well, they deserve it. Room was clean and comfortable but the AC couldn't get below 75 which is not unusual for a hotel this old. This aesthetic makes up for it. We got reservations at the terrace because the room is incredible. Food was pretty good but if you order a unique wine or port, they store it in the basement and it may take 20 minutes to get it or you may not get it at all. The waitresses also don't really come around regularly to check water levels, etc which really irritated me because it wasn't packed or anything. But again, you're downtown with plenty of other good food options within a couple blocks and there are historic sites to see going up the hill as well. Would recommend and if the occasion presents itself, I'd stay again because the good definitely outweighed the slightly annoying.

We have an engineer on 24 hours to ensure everything works well! I've shared your comments regarding the service in 1741 on the Terrace with our Food & Beverage Director. I'm sorry that your dining experience was sub par. The level of service that you received was not reflective of the standard that strive to provide. Historic Charm with a Great Staff
This was our first trip to Bethlehem PA and I’m so glad we stayed at the Historic Hotel Bethlehem. The atmosphere was so relaxing. The hotel restaurant was excellent. I definitely recommend the Crab Cakes. The staff was welcoming, especially the Bell Captain, Barry. Barry answered all of our questions. He also shuttled us to and from the casino. I also need to mention that when you walk out of the front door, you’re right on Historic Main Street. Plenty of shopping and dining. We’ll definitely be back.

INCREDIBLE SERVICE AND AMAZING VIEWS
My husband and I took our annual 4th of July celebration trip to an unknown area and was blown away by the hospitality and caring nature of the Hotel Bethlehem employees. Staff were professional but personable and listened to a comment you may have thrown out and turned it into a service they provided. Both, "Captain Barry" our bellman and "Front Desk" Sam provided small gestures and kindnesses that put the visit over the top for us. Somehow they managed to be efficient, and yet, spent those extra few minutes to make you feel like you were the only guests in the hotel. I highly recommend this hotel for romantic getaways, friend trips, and corporate team building/retreats. The charm of the hotel spills out into the community and you will be hard pressed to find anyone that does not go out of their way to be helpful. We spent 4 days in the area and would move there in a heartbeat if we could. We have been doing this yearly adventure for 8 years and this trip was the absolute best. I am forgetting to add that the beauty of Bethlehem and the surrounding area was breathtaking!
