Rooms were clean but we had to change rooms twice due to heavy pine sol smell. Otherwise nice place.

Discusting

My wife and I checked in at 10:45 pm Fri June 26th. When I pulled the sheet back I saw hair and stains. Sheets were pulled up neatly to give the appearance that bed had cleaned.
The toliet was nasty. Floors were dirty.
The night manager came to the room and cleaned the toilet and replaced sheets. If it wasn't so late, we would have checked out.
AVOID THIS DUMP. Towels and bath cloths are worn out and stained.

My husband and I used to stay here all the time when we had to come through for work. This last experience WILL BE the last. The bathroom smelled entirely of urine. We had to run down to the closest store and buy cleaning products to get rid of the odor. We also bought blankets bc there are visible stains on the top cover, if you can call it that. The tv barely functions, it’s on the dimmest setting which you cannot adjust. You also can’t add subtitles. There was a huge cockroach crawling on the side wall of the room that we had to kill. I understand a bug once in a while when you are in or near woods, but with everything else, the whole stay was just gross.

Exactly what you would expect with a motel. Pretty clean nicer than average motel to stay the night.

Do Yourself a favor and don't stay here.

We checked into the Franklin Inn Carrabelle, FL on March 22, 2026, and checked out immediately. The room smelled awful, like nasty chemicals. It was nauseating. After seeing the lobby and smelling the room I decided to pull down the blankets and check the sheets…several hairs on both sides. The sheets clearly hadn’t been changed! Disgusting and unsanitary. We couldn’t stay the night and checked out right away. The woman in the office had her son go check the room and he agreed the sheets were dirty. No apology, no concern at all. Someone asked if we wanted them to change the sheets? WTH. And to top matters off, they charged me for the room and after many attempts calling the hotel, calling 800# I was provided they refused to refund me the $147.59 they charged!
Do yourself a favor and sleep in your car before you stay here! Drive on as there are decent, clean hotels right down the road for less money!
