Best boutique suites in all of Charleston - with boundless charm, comfort & convenience!
LOVED my stay at the Parson Inn! It's one of the best kept secrets in Charleston for a beautiful & charming suite nestled in the historic downtown area, with a number of tasty restaurants in walking & biking distance in the neighborhood. Yep - they have bikes avaliable too! It's right off the highway & easy to get to. My suite was very clean, beautifully decorated, cozy, with a fabulously comfortable bed & lots of amenities provided by my hosts. Loved being able to relax on the porch right outside my suite in the late evenings. Free parking off the street. All this for a price that beats any upscale hotel in the city. Much thanks to my hosts for a truly relaxing & wonderful stay! This is where I'll be staying everytime I visit Charleston!

Beautiful Inn & Excellent Hosts!
We booked the entire Parson Inn for our bi-annual Cousins Week June 6-8,2025 and it was the most amazing stay we've ever had for our Cousins trips! The hosts, Karen & Marcus Parson, had every room/suite prepared for our stay! Every room/suite was immaculate! The "wet" bathrooms throughout the Inn were the best! All of the beds were very comfortable. The kitchen in the Home Too Suite was equipped with everything that we needed. All T.V's in each room/suite were setup for streaming, and having cable on both tv's in the Home Too Suite was great for when all of us gathered there. The location was great! Just a short walk to King St. and great access to restaurants, shopping & wine bars!! Best stay EVER!

Stayed here for our son's wedding
We stayed here to attend our son's wedding. The location was quite far from King Street and all the popular destinations. We used Dash a few times, but mostly had to call an Uber to go anywhere. The bathroom is a wet room, which is intended for the entire area to be able to get wet. I don't understand what advantage this is. After taking a shower the entire floor was wet and had to be dried before anyone could go back in.
There was a problem with the air conditioning unit in the bedroom but Karen was very responsive and quick to get a repairman.

Our Inn is six blocks from King Street and a 20-minute walk from the town center.
We love our wet rooms. They are easier to clean and much more sanitary than traditional bathrooms, and there are no nooks or crannies for dirt or grime to accumulate.
Wet rooms are much easier on guests with mobility issues because there are no steps or curbs to step over.
Lastly, wet rooms also increase the value of a home.
I'm glad we addressed your AC issue within the hour, as it can get hot in Charleston during the summer.
We are happy to operate a clean, newly renovated (while keeping the charm of a traditional Charleston Home) accessible to the downtown Inn that has been in business for 6 years.

Home AwayFrom Home in Charleston
Stayed in this AirBnB in Charleston downtown, very close to main attractions and shopping and guided tour locations. Three adults stayed in Home 2, a queen size bed and a pull-out couch and private bathroom. My mom’s birthday weekend was made all that much better because the hosts Karen and Marcus have thought of everything in this unit. The place has nicely decorated, with a small but efficient kitchen, dining and sitting area. All the decor shows nice Charleston touches. The unit provides, towels, linens, dishes, bottled water, and you have all the comforts of home. This one stays booked, so reserve early!

Perfect for Us
I booked The Charleston Room for 4 nights (Monday - Friday) at the Parson Inn using their booking website. The website describes the property, which I found to be quite accurate when I arrived. On the day prior to my arrival, I received an email with all the information I’d need to settle into the room.
The inn is located between 1 and 2 miles from the Charleston Historic District depending on what section you’re visiting. It’s an easy drive to that area, which has plenty of parking garages. The off street parking lot with 5 parking spots adjacent to the inn is small, but easily navigable. I had a Toyota Camry and by taking my time, I had no problem getting in and out of the lot.
The Charleston Room is located on the first floor of the inn. A couple of steps up the porch and you’re there. I found the room to be a bit larger than I expected, which was a pleasant surprise. It was clean. All appliances worked fine. The television, which uses the internet to stream programs and apps, worked OK, although I couldn’t get the YouTube app to work. But hey, I didn’t come to Charleston to watch YouTube, so that’s a non-issue. The bed was comfortable and the room was relatively quiet. There was a small construction project across the street, but we were always out during the day and by evening the work was done. Once in a while a loud car may go by or a helicopter may be landing at the adjacent hospital, but it never interfered with our sleep and we woke up refreshed each morning. Our private bathroom was quite compact, with the shower, sink and toilet all in one enclosure, but it served its purpose very well for us.
The whole Charleston neighborhood living experience was made complete by our wonderful host, Karen. Karen lives next door to the inn so if there were any issues to be addressed, or questions to be answered, a phone call or a text to her would initiate a very timely response.
Now I can’t tell you about any of the other rooms at the inn as they are all different. But I can say that for my wife and I, the Charleston Room at the Parson Inn was perfect for us.
