Cocoa Beach Stay
We cannot say enough good things about our stay at The Marlin on Cocoa Beach. We were looking for an affordable place right on the beach to stay for the week, and this was perfect. The manager was incredibly nice and accommodating in every way. He made our stay even better and was happy to answer any questions or offer us anything we needed. The beach was just down the path from our door and wasn’t too crowded at all, especially for July. Our experience was great, and we will definitely stay here again if/when we come back!

DO NOT STAY HERE
Not a good place to stay for vacation unless you're a group of college kids who wont be inside much. There were holes in the ceiling from water leaks. Our condo did NOT face the beach, the ad gives you the impression your balcony is facing the ocean. We actually faced into the balconies of another complex.
Bugs were present. Musty smelling like black mold is in the walls and ceiling. A lot of things were rusty. Bed is wore out and nasty smelling pillows were hard as a rock. We had to sleep on top of the sheets. Host gave no apology but did offer a refund. Unfortunately, if you don't book ahead of time in this area then you will be charged more so it wasn't affordable to switch.

A Week in Paradise
We rented a room at this place through an AirBnB (sorry TripAdvisor...I've been seeing other travel sites behind your back), and while the person we rented from didn't give a whole lot in the means of information regarding check in, we departed for our 14 hour drive in the good faith that things would be fine whenever we arrived in Cocoa Beach.
Whenever we arrived, I checked in to the office for further information, and I was advised that everything was ready for my party to begin our vacation. The person who greeted me in the office, which appears to be an apartment that doubles as an office, seemed just as interested to get me a key and sent on my way, as I was to get my a key and be sent on my way. She was neither rude nor was she outwardly friendly for the most part, which is fine with me. If I wanted someone to dote on me, I'd have stayed at the Sheraton down the street...if I could afford it...which I can't...so there.
We entered the apartment, and it was immaculately clean. There were two couches, one with a fold out sofa bed, a spacious kitchen, lovely bathroom, and one bedroom with two queen beds. The space was decorated in your typical, "Welcome to the beach, and the best week of your life" kind of way...it's a little kitschy, a little homey, and a lot "beach-ey". The furniture was comfortable, perfectly broken in without being saggy or aged looking. In fact, I don't know that I've ever had a better night's sleep than I did on the bed in this place.
The location of the place is perfect for going to the beach, which is only a short walk away from our door, but the rest of Cocoa Beach requires a short drive rather than a short walk. But, this also meant that the complex was fairly well quiet as a tomb for the whole week rather than bustling with activity. It really is the perfect location for relaxation, and is only an hour away from Orlando, as well.
I'm unsure when we'll go back to Cocoa Beach, but whenever we do, we will certainly be staying at The Marlin again!

Awesome Stay
Awesome, clean, nice place we stayed with my family. A few steps to the ocean!! Being so very close to the ocean was awesome!!! Cindy the manager is a very nice lady. I would recommend this place to others.

'On the beach' property
The Marlin is convenient for location in Cocoa Beach, close enough for easy travel to Ron Jon surf shop and the pier etc.
Free parking available and couldn't be much closer to the beach.
At night the outside was quiet enough with no noise from neighbouring apartments.
The room was dated and needed modernising, but for the price was acceptable.
Air con and shower worked well and was good to have a tv with dvd player in the room.
Internet is available but there is an additional charge. Ok if you're going to use it a lot, but if you just need to log on occaisionally, it's easy enough to nip to Starbucks or Ron Jons and connect to their free wi-fi
There is a laundry facility on site which is useful if you're staying a while.
Also a patio area with bbqs and benches for use by guests.
You need to leave the room almost as you found it or there is an additional cleaning charge if it is left in poor condition - fair enough request.
Didn't have much to do with the staff but they seemed helpful when we saw them.
