Cozy abin in quiet location with a nice view.
Our studio cabin was comfortable and nicely maintained. We enjoyed our own hot tub on the deck. The fireplace was nice too. The kitchenette was well enough equipped with a microwave, two burner cook top and adequate pots, pans, bowls, utensils and silverware. An apartment size dishwasher was adequate. Our only complaint was the refrigerator was very small and someone had turned it to maximum cooling so it froze and ruined some of our food. I'd recommend checking that before storing your food. The bathroom was large, with a big walk in shower, but no tub.
We were there in the off season, which was nice because there were no crowds or traffic anywhere on the island. A car is an absolute necessity as there were virtually no stores or restaurants open near the resort. Eastbay is the nearest village of any size and there were a number of restaurants to choose from and two grocery stores. Some shops were closed for the season though.
We learned that once on the island, it is free to take the ferry to neighboring islands if you walk on. There is parking at the ferry terminal and you can go to Shaw, Lopez or San Juan island free of charge.

Don't Stay Here if you only Reserving a 1 Bedroom Unit
We are Wyndham owners and my wife and I hit Orcas for several days to get away. When we checked in, we found the single room units are up the hill behind the multi-room units. They do not show photos of the single room suites. These are absolutely horrible. I have stayed at a lot of 3 star RCI locations the last 30 years --- but these by far ar the worst. They truly are like staying in a mobile home trailer - maybe worse. The unit was dirty, carpet torn everywhere, windows grimy (little to no views) and poor lighting which resulted in a dark setting. I checked out 20 minutes after checking in requesting for the manager to call me. No call. and to date - still have not received a refund. Poor customer service I have never experienced at RCI or Wyndham.
Photos unfortunately only show the multi-room units. Do Not Stay here if you are only getting one room. You will be extremely disappointed.

Do Not Book Unless You Own Their Timeshare…
Booked our room a week in advance. Called the day of our travel to confirm our stay, receptionist confirmed.
We show up at 7:30pm, only to be told our room had been overbooked and we were without a place to stay. With no internet or cell phone service, we were given a 1-800 to call to book a refund. Had to book a last minute room elsewhere. DO NOT COME HERE UNLESS YOU OWN A TIMESHARE HERE.

Great Cottage with Hot Tub
The Deer Harbor Worldmark is probably one of the best Worldmarks we've stayed at and we've stayed at many. The staff there are friendly and accommodating. The location by the harbor can't be beat and the individual hot tubs for each unit is what makes this property great.
We stayed in a studio deluxe cottage and as a family of four, felt there was enough space. We ate many meals outside on the patio and spent a lot of time in the hot tub. The bathroom is spacious and the large walk-in shower was nice.
Some things to be aware of... the bar sized fridges in the kitchenettes don't have a true freezer so if you purchase anything that needs to be frozen, it has to be kept in the staff fridge in the main office. This fills up quickly so don't count on bringing too many frozen groceries if you're in a similar unit. As well, the light comes in through the transom windows so it can be quite bright quite early in the morning.
There is a free laundry room with two washers and two dryers. The machines itself are fairly new and the laundry room is open 24 hours.
We brought our own SUP which we left on the patio and carried down easily to the beach below the cottage. Our kids loved paddleboarding right off the beach and had a seal swim right by them.
Overall, this is a new favourite Worldmark and we will be back!

Quiet Cabin across from the harbor
My boyfriend & I stayed here for a weekend and had the best time...probably because we had our own hot tub on the porch. All the cabins do and it makes this place that much better. They also are right across from the harbor and have great views and you can rent kayaks when the weather is nice. They also have a game room, with pool, chess, a nice lounge area and workout room. The front desk was very helpful as well.
