Wonderful!
The cabin is just as described. Cozy ,rustic and very clean. Perfect location for a quiet relaxing vacation. The national park entrance is inly 5 minutes away. The views from the cabin are amazing. The beautiful downtown is less than 10 minutes from the cabin with plenty of restaurants and shopping.
The only complaint I have is the pull out sofa is an inflatable mattress. Ours did not work that well. My kids survived. Also the grounds could use a little TLC. Alot of weeds. Overall it is a great place. Our family had a great vacation. Try the horse back riding down the street. It was amazing!!

Fantastic getaway
The perfect place to spend a relaxing weekend away from the craziness of the city. The location is perfect, so close to RMNP. Beautiful views. There are different size cabin options to accommodate travelers.

Vacation 2026
My husband and I stayed at the lodge and we truly loved it. The cabin was cozy, clean and big enough for the two of us. We sat on the porch when we got a chance and enjoyed the birds singing and wild life around us. The Fall River Visitor Center was very close to the cabin. We were able to go back to the Sheep Lake every evening and wait for the moose to come out. The entrance was so close that I was not afraid to drive back at night. The staff was very friendly and helpful when we arrived. The price was perfect for us and we did not spend much on groceries. We liked that we were able to cook in our cabin and it had everything we needed. The noise level at night was so quite and it was still dark enough to see the stars at night from night. We would love to go back with our adult children and their families.

Getaway to the mountains
I absolutely love this place. I have went more times than I exactly know. First I took my girl Martha and after she passed I know take my little Yorkies. The cabins are beautiful and comfortable. Everyone who works there is just so nice. I love all the wildlife that come right up on the property. It’s so close to RMNP. There are hiking trails on the property. Kitchen is fully stocked with pots and pans and of course a coffee maker. Beds are so comfortable Each and every time I turn into the property a very peaceful feeling comes over me. Watching the sun come up over the mountains. Drinking fresh coffee on the patio and listening to the elk bugle. Plus the hot chocolate chip cookies are great also!! I have traveled from Africa to Canada to the Carribean. I have stayed in five star resorts but McGregor Lodge is number one on my list❤️❤️❤️

Disappointed
My wife and I have noticed over the last two years after the ownership change that Landscaping and general cabin maintenance has lacking by a considerably margin. Weeds are everywhere around the cabins and there are no flower beds. We are very disappointed in this reality and there is no wildlife around the property anymore other than birds and ground squirrels.

We understand how close you were to the previous owners, and how much you miss them. We know some customers will always prefer “the old days.” We have been diligently tending to various upgrades in our property, and we are quite saddened that you did not see the enhancements we have added, as they have been many. I have notified the landscaping crew of your concerns. The flower beds are intact and hanging baskets abound, but I’m noting your comments and will explore this. As for wildlife, our Facebook page notes much that we see - and we DO see almost daily - including deer, elk, moose, bobcats, squirrels, and bears. We are cautious these days with the birds, as birdseed draws bears and the bears have been too bold. There are still finch feeders, but we follow protocol so as not to risk the lives of our bears. Sad that you did not experience much wildlife on your stay. Wishing you better future travels.
