A lovely Weekend Stay in Groton

My husband and I traveled from New Hampshire to attend a wedding in Groton, and we were delighted to find weekend availability at the Benn Conger Inn, where we stayed in the beautiful Dutchman Suite.
From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by manager Shelly, who made us feel immediately at home. Our suite was immaculate, spacious, and exceptionally comfortable. The bed provided a wonderful night’s sleep, and despite the inn being fully occupied, the historic home was remarkably quiet and peaceful.
Each morning’s breakfast was outstanding, featuring cooked-to-order eggs, breakfast meats, waffles, pastries, and on our second morning, a delicious Quiche Lorraine that was truly memorable.
A heartfelt thank you to Shelly, Drew, and owner Chris for making our weekend stay so special. Their hospitality and attention to detail made all the difference, and we would gladly return again.

The interior design and style with a lot of paintings are amazing! The freshly-ordered breakfast is delicious. The staff is very nice and friendly. Highly recommended!

Very clean room. The whirlpool bath was so relaxing! We both enjoyed the good breakfast.

The room was beautiful, and the breakfast was okay. The only qualm we had was we were given a dress code to attend breakfast, after not being made aware at check in or before eating. The innkeeper told us “sometimes people complain,” about pajamas being worn to eat breakfast. However, we were not told prior to our meal, nor was it made known at check in. We understand expectations, however the way it was handled was unnecessary. Generally, the staff was nice, and the manager of the property was helpful, but we didn’t appreciate how the protocol was addressed with us in particular, as other guests were seen with pajamas not long after. Other than that, I would recommend this place to others.

Wonderful, relaxing getaway

Friendly inn-keeper greeted us and showed us the room to assure it met expectations. Beautiful large room with private deck, comfortable bed, large beautiful bathroom, fresh delicious breakfast daily made our stay wonderful. Highly recommend this property!
