Rooms were very clean. Bathroom towels though were really thin and tiny little bottles of shampoo and conditioner for two people. Didn’t like parking on the street. Overall i would rate it a 8.

It was just ok. The pillows were very flat and the mattress was old. I could feel the indentation where the springs were worn out. Besides that, the motorcycles flying down the street in front of the hotel were loud. Overall, you get what you pay for and it was a good value for the price, but don’t expect much

Pros and Cons

We found several pros and cons of this motel. On the plus side, we had a 2 room suite for 5 of us at a reasonable price. It was also a short drive to Hershey Park (7 minutes). The rooms were mainly clean, but the bathroom drawers were dirty and broken. Also on the minus side, there was basically no housekeeping. The first day, our used towels were taken away and we were given new ones. Nothing else. Second day there was nothing at all. I went to the desk to ask for new towels and was told that housekeeping should have come, and was given a garbage bag to fill with dirty towels and leave on our porch for pick-up. It was never picked up and was still there when we checked out.

Providing a garbage bag for your towels was unacceptable, and we are reviewing this incident with our staff immediately to improve our service. Simmons Motel was a great value near Hersheypark. We were pretty much just there late at night and then left early the next morning, but the room was cute and clean, and it had a fun, unique vibe. I enjoyed drinking my coffee on the small balcony before my kids woke up so that I could charge up for a 12-hour day at the park :) . I would absolutely stay here again.

Unique, clean, and comfortable

Super cute! I vastly preferred this motel to the generic vibe you usually get and consider Simmons Motel to be an excellent value very close to the park. We didn’t stay long enough to use the pool but I loved sitting on the balcony with my crossword while my kiddos slept in!
