Hotel Under Renovation But Fabulous Stay

After a long day of air travel with many delays, we landed in Austin extremely late and no hotels in the area had availability due to stopped flights and wind storm. We called the next closest hotel and he stated they had availability. We arrived 20 minutes later to a warm welcome at almost 2am. We were offered a very low rate for 2 adults and 2 small children who needed refuge from extreme cold winds and a long day of travel.
We knew this hotel and low ratings and still needed a place to sleep. We took our chances. So glad we did.
The lobby was clean. We were offered extra blankets at check in. We arrived to room 308. I was wary to open the door but when we did it was a fabulous room. Better than a Hilton we stayed at on our previous trip. 2 Queen beds that looked and felt new. The room was spotless. Very clean.
I highly recommend this hotel. It doesnt look like much, but they are remodeling. Give it a chance.

The amazingly helpful staff is the reason this rating is so high. They were all very nice and went above and beyond to assist with my needs and any requests I had. We stayed almost a week. Also, the room rate is very inexpensive and affordable. I will note that it is under renovation, but it definitely needs some work in the maintenance department. Specifically, the elevator is terrifying. Twice it loudly lurched and jerked for multiple seconds when coming to a stop - mostly I took the stairs because of that reason. However, the bed sheets were spotless. No pests in the room. The maids were very nice. The continental breakfast was decent and hot. There was juice and coffee available and it was stocked daily. Management at this place tries very hard to make guests stay happy.

There was no tissue in the restroom, no hair dryer, no coffee pot in room. Nightstand was still dirty and had sticky soda or something on it. Room got a little warm at night even with AC on 66. It just wasn’t what I expected.

Breakfast was great, room was so clean and bed was soooo comfortable. AC was nice and cold and staff was so nice

Everything was great. Most comfortable bed yet out of all the hotels I’ve stayed at in Austin
