Mermaids Everywhere!

5 stars on adorableness alone! EVERYTHING is Mermaid and I am here for it! Super clean, super friendly, super cute. Our room was so comfortable and I can't get over how they found such amazing mermaid sheets. This Inn/Motel is a real treasure with all the little touches in the room. We were very comfortable and had solid sleep quality. Loved they were dog friendly as well, and very walkable to the little town area with shops and restaurants. LOVED our 2 night stay.

The nicest owner who did several "favors" that were never asked of her. Cozy, clean and very friendly.

The owner is the nicest owner of a hotel I have ever met. I booked a Saturday night on Priceline and the next day decided to add Friday night. I figured I would contact them to see about combining the reservations so we would get the same room both nights. Before I could the owner's wife called to let me know she had taken care of that herself. When I got there she said because I booked two separate nights I'd need to pay one night at a time. Friday night was cheaper on Priceline because it was the second night booked. The sweet woman gave me the discounted rate Saturday also. The room was very clean with freshly washed bedspread even. Super cute and cozy. It's a retro space which I found quaint and comfortable. When we were driving back Sunday she called to let us know she found my moms Kindle. She said I will mail it to you. Which she promptly did without blinking an eye and on her own dime. I love kind people and will stay there every time I am in the area. The best experience ever.

The Mermaid Inn is one of our favorite motels. The rooms are decorated with a Mermaid/nautical style with some retro appliances. Overall gives a very homey feeling. Rooms are very clean, staff is really friendly and helpful.
Situated between a gas station/store and a Mexican restaurant you have access to fresh food and all the amenities you might have forgotten to pack. Like much of the Long Beach peninsula, the Mermaid is quiet and laid back...but still in walking distance to "downtown" and the beach if so inclined. You won't find a jacuzzi, gym or balcony view of the ocean here (those can be found elsewhere), but if you want clean, comfortable, convenient and quiet lodgings this is great place. A great place to explore all the cool, fun things to do in the area. Enjoy!

Absolute Gem in Long Beach

This is the most charming motel I've ever stayed at. The owner was friendly, the location was perfect, and the room was large and comfortable. The beds were comfortable - I had a fabulous sleep. It was minutes to the beach and very quiet. I would recommend this motel to all my friends and family and I WILL be back. Loved it. 5*

Booking.com Reservations

Several months ago made reservations thru Booking.com for dates in August,2024 for 2 rooms. At the VERY LAST MINUTE was told they no longer honor bookings thru several agencies and if you wanted to book for the same room the per night charge nearly doubled. So be very wary about the facility promises.
