A Perfect Stay!

We love coming up to Lopez Island for a day or 2 and our visit is not complete without a stay at the Lopez Islander Resort. First of all, we love eating at the restaurant. The beer batter fish and chips are excellent, and I ALWAYS order them. The wait staff are great. Sitting on the deck and looking out at the boats in the bay is wonderful.
We got a basic room for 1-night mid-week which is cheaper than weekends.
The rooms have been updated and ours was very nice. Soft, fluffy towels! A fridge, Keurig coffee maker (with PLENTY of K cups). Fresh paint, flooring, doors. Real silverware and glassware are provided which is nice. Our little deck had a nice table with umbrella. A great view of the bay.
The hotel staff at check in were friendly which is VERY important to us.
It always feels like "coming home" when we stay at the Islander. Skip the busier islands and come to Lopez!

4pm check in is a bit late in the day. Room was clean spacious and the view is great. TV channel options not great... Price of the room is high but not many options on Lopex Island.
The first morning they had a water pipe break so no water for shower or anything till later in the morning. When i checked out I mentioned the inconvenience of having no water. They did not offer any discount or compensation.

Always a fun time at the Islander! Rooms are clean, with a menu of service options. We appreciated being able to request the specific items we needed each day (towels, coffee, etc) and they would be left at our door.
Restaurant has lovely outdoor seating and decent food. Expect island-time service from a pleasant staff.

There are better places to stay on Lopez island

While the setting of this establishment is very nice, the use of the word resort is inappropriate. The place is pretty run down and in need of repairs, but they charge top dollar. The restrooms are not clean, the docks are wobbly and splintered, the spa does not bubble. The much touted prime rib is mushy from using tenderizer and the service is just okay. The location is great and the island is beautiful and friendly.

I was so happy with our stay at the Islander! It was conveniently located, beautiful view, shuttle to the ferry and had fantastic Saturdays morning yoga! Our room had a perfect kitchenette and every staff member was helpful and kind. The pool could use a lot less chlorine, but that was our only constructive feedback from the trip. Will definitely stay again!
