Our room was clean but the property itself could use some TLC. It is an old building but outside there were weeds and cigarette butts by the entrance and the property appeared neglected.. Elevators smelled terrible; likely fromhaving carpet in them and whatever spills they have seen. Common areas could use a refresh too. We stayed on a Monday night and the restaurant was closed and nothing nearby open after 8. Front desk staff was friendly and helpful.

They aren’t taking care of this hotel. Even the lobby entrance doors are dirty. It smells like it needs a deep clean. Bathroom door was dirty. Walls needs to be wiped in room. Stained chair. I couldn’t wait to leave. Yuck. No water purchase. And for $200 a night?! It used to be nicer. Will never stay again.

Great location and very nice hotel inside. Quiet and relaxing stay. My only suggestion would be to add some outdoor benches in the parking area for people to set outside.

For the rates, room was in poor condition, not thoroughly cleaned, furniture in rough condition, etc. Restaurants are not open on Monday/Tuesday at the hotel or surrounding area.

It's 100 year old hotel. The beds were ok. The service was excellent. Especially the people behind the counter and the restaurant. The food was good. The best part is the Erie shoreline. Downtown Lorain is a little rundown. Of course I couldn't enjoy it because of the Canadian wildfires. All of Ohio was engulfed in smoke. I plan on coming back mostly from the excellent service. They have line dancing downstairs and roof top bands on the weekends.
