Melrose Hostel Reserves The Right To Refuse Service To Anyone Arrivals and Departures - Check-in time is from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM daily. Check-out time is at 11:00 AM daily. Any guests checking out after 11:00 AM of the check-out day will be charged a $5 late check-out fee (latest check-out time: 12:00 PM). Guests must remove belongings from the dormitory and bathrooms and vacate the hostel premises, including the common area, by 11:00 AM on the day of check-out. Luggage may be stored in the designated storage area up until 10:00 PM on the day of check-out. Any luggage which is not removed by this time will incur a luggage storage fee. Proof of Onward Travel - Melrose Hostel does not accommodate local residents living within the greater Los Angeles area (100 miles radius). Guests must be able to provide proof of onward travel upon request. Melrose Hostel reserves the right to refuse service to anyone who cannot provide proof of onward travel. Cancellation Policy - Guests wishing to cancel or amend their reservation must notify Melrose Hostel by email at melrosehostel646@gmail.com and/or by phone at +1 (213) 382-5600 prior to 11:00 AM PST on the check-in date. Cancellations and amendments made after this time will be subject to a cancellation fee amounting to the full price of the reservation. No-Show - Failure to check-in by 10:00 PM or contact the hostel for after-hours arrival will result in cancellation of the reservation and incur the cancellation fee amounting to the full cost of reservation. Maximum Length of Stay Period - An individual may not stay beyond 14 nights per calendar year. Identification Requirements - All guests checking in must show valid and current photo identification (i.e. passport, government-issued I.D. card, or driver’s license). All ID must show a picture, Date of Birth, Current Address, Issue Date, and Expiration Date ( not a picture or a copy ) All guests must be at least 18 years of age. Vaccination - All guests must provide proof of being fully vaccinated against the Covid-19. Access Code - Guests are provided access codes to the front entrance of the hostel as well as their assigned dormitory. Guests are not permitted to share access codes or open the front door and/or dormitory for anyone. Any guest(s) who allows a NON-GUEST to enter or/and stay on Melrose Hostel premises will be charged for the non-guest’s stay as a PENALTY. In addition, both the guest(s) and non-guest(s) MUST LEAVE the premises and will not be refunded. Amenities - Locks and beverages are available for purchase. Card transactions under $5 are subject to a surcharge. Beds - Guests may select their bed on a first come, first serve basis upon check-in. For the safety of all guests, switching bed assignments within the same reservation is not permitted. Guest Behavior - Any guest(s) who is determined by our staff to be compromising the comfort or safety of other guests, staff, or local residents (through noise, odor, theft, harassment, aggressive behavior, intoxication, etc.) will be asked to leave the hostel premises and will not be refunded. Belongings must not take up excessive space and cause discomfort to others. Guests must be fully clothed within the dormitories and common areas. Guests are only permitted to their assigned dormitories. No Smoking/Vaping Indoors - Smoking is only permitted in the designated smoking area on the rooftop deck at Melrose Hostel. Any guest(s) found smoking inside the building must leave the premises immediately and will not be refunded for the remainder of the reservation. No Drugs or Excessive Alcohol Consumption - Drug (marijuana, ecstasy, cocaine, heroin, etc.) use in the hostel is forbidden. Any guest found to be excessively intoxicated, under the influence of drugs, or using drugs within the building must leave the premises. Alcohol over 12% ABV is not allowed on the premises and will be confiscated by staff members. Refunds will not be issued if any of these rules are violated. Quiet Hours and Lights Off Time - 11:00 PM to 8:00 AM daily within the dormitories. The curfew for the common areas (rooftop, downstairs kitchen and living area, and lobby) is from 12:00 AM to 7:00 AM daily as a courtesy to other guests. Personal Property - Melrose Hostel is not responsible or liable for loss, theft, or damage to any personal property. Guests may use the lockers within their assigned dormitories upon availability. Guests may provide their own locks or purchase one at the front desk. It is the guest’s responsibility to ensure that their personal belongings are secure at all times. ***ANY ITEMS LEFT IN THE SHOWERS, RESTROOMS, AND/OR REFRIGERATOR WILL BE DISPOSED OF DURING THE DAILY HOUSEKEEPING HOURS. PLEASE MAKE SURE TO TAKE YOUR BELONGINGS WITH YOU.*** Luggage Storage - Guests checking in or checking out may keep their luggage in the designated storage area free of charge until 10:00 PM on the day of check-in and check-out only. Melrose Hostel is not responsible or liable for loss, theft, or damage to items stored in the storage room as a free service. Guest(s) must remove any belongings left inside the storage room by 10:00 PM on the day of check-out or else incur the luggage storage fee. Any unclaimed items will be disposed of. Extended (past 10:00 PM on day of check-out) luggage storage service is available upon request. Inquire about the rate, conditions, and availability with the front desk receptionist. Damage to Melrose Hostel Property - Guests must reimburse Melrose Hostel for any damage caused to any property owned by Melrose Hostel. Melrose Hostel reserves the right to charge the guest for any damages to the property caused by the guest. The amount to be charged will be decided by Melrose Hostel. Liability - Melrose Hostel is not responsible for personal injury as a result of the behavior of any guests. Mail - Melrose Hostel is not responsible for mail or packages received. Please be advised that Melrose Hostel is classified as a business and not a residence; as such, change of address and mail forwarding is not possible. Guests will not use Melrose Hostel as their official address. Guest Information - Melrose Hostel may store and use information provided by the guest(s) and/or travel agency; however, this information will not be disclosed for the purpose of promoting the business or to the benefit of any third party solicitation. Sale - ***ALL SALES ARE FINAL. NO REFUNDS OR EXCHANGES*** All reservations must be paid in full at check-in. All requests, cancellations, and amendments to the reservation prior to 11:00 AM PST on the day of arrival. Any cancellation and/or amendments made after this time will not be refunded. All phone reservations must be paid in full at the time of booking. All credit/debit cards used during the time of payment must match the valid ID of the guest(s). Rates - The advertised prices are discounted cash rates and do not include the 14% Los Angeles Transient Occupancy Tax. Rates are subject to change. Errors and Amendments - Melrose Hostel reserves the right to amend rates, web page, order acknowledgment, invoice, and other documents issued by Melrose Hostel without liability. "
