The most amazing place to stay in Nantucket. Close to the main town for shopping, dining and exploring. A short bus or bike ride to the beach and most anywhere you want to go. Everything about this place is about amenities and caring for guests. Highly recommend.

We loved the locale. We loved our courtyard room. However we had to constantly ask for assistance. For ice. For water. Towels were never refreshed. We got the feeling they did not have adequate staffing. We would return , however, it’s charming , but clearly seasonal. There was a vacuum cleaner left outside our entry door the entire length of stay!

Problems with check with no resolve. Ask if I wanted to move rooms the next day. Instead of preparing me at check in. Room was only able to be cleaned once because they waited to clean my room last while I sat outside for hours waiting to clean my room after 3 pm. Then day of check they were at my door at 10:30 as check out is 11. Definitely not like what it used to be plus it was $1000.00 + everyday. Not worth it.

76 Main was magical
From the moment of arrival, the experience at 76 Main was amazing. Richard, Morgan and Brooke went above and beyond to make our stay magical. The location to Town was perfect!
From the bedding, to the breakfast bites to the fire pit in the courtyard, everything was above and beyond. We can’t wait to return!

Charming, well located, not 5 star
If this is the 3rd best B&B/hotel in Nantucket, TripAdvisor needs to recalibrate its rating system.
It’s a charming place with centrally located and well equipped, comfortable rooms. It’s a bit sterile as a B&B, staffed by helpful but not very alert workers - there’s no friendly innkeeper giving you advice on the town. For example, we asked the front desk worker for ideas for a bike ride and beaches and all she had to offer was that we should scan the QR code in our room.
It shouldn’t even call itself a “breakfast”, breakfast is a minimal selections of some pastries one level up from a holiday inn and an occasional boiled egg (when they aren’t out). It starts at 830, and by 910, it seemed picked clean and even out of coffee. Like how hard is it to have someone scrambling eggs and making waffles?
They do have a make your own cocktail station which was sort of nice - though missing items like simple syrup for the “sweet” element of mixing cocktails.
The grounds are really charming - pretty patios, fire pits, and flowers everywhere. They have free bikes, beach towels, and beach chairs (but no umbrellas). With a lot of coaxing they did give us a street parking pass (otherwise don’t expect parking here).
At $200/night (or even $400 for the Nantucket factor), it would get a higher rating, but at these prices, deeply disappointed.
