Home Away From Home

Kimpton Downtown is our home away from home…literally! This is hands down our favorite staycation destination. From the minute you pull up to the valet, every member of staff is welcoming and makes you feel like a VIP. The rooms are always immaculate and the staff meets every special request promptly. Donna and her team are the best Downtown are the epitome hospitality. The rooftop bar offers a casual/hip atmosphere with beautiful views of South Mountain. We always stop in at Blue Hound to have a cocktail and say hi to our favorites Genie and Julian.
We spent summer 2025 exploring different hotel options downtown just to branch out. I am so glad we did because I can say now with absolute certainty and supporting research that Kimpton Palomar Downtown is the best Phoenix has to offer!

I love this little oasis in the middle of hot as Hades Phoenix.
We stayed twice on a round trip from San Diego to Denver with my 2dogs.
The staff couldn’t be more accommodating.
Special thanks to the manager Donna for being so helpful and going out of her way to help us out of a bad situation of my own doing.

I keep coming back after over 15 years

I haven’t lived in AZ since 2014 and every time I visit and stay at Palomar, I leave feeling better. From the customer service to the food to the convenience of the location. Kaitlyn was my first interaction and after traveling, she made me feel welcome immediately. I even got a last minute ticket to a WNBA game that is literally across the street. I highly recommend staying here when you want the downtown experience where you can park and walk to several things to do.

Rooms were clean, hotel well maintained, all staff were courteous and helpful. I would say the photos online are a bit touched up though to make it look more modern than it is. There were definitely parts that make it feel 3 star, including the bathroom, flimsy furniture. For the price, a great stay though.

Absolutely amazing stay

From the start hotel atmosphere and hotel aesthetic is very appealing, staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Perfect location close to many venues, bars and restaurants. The suite was spacious, clean, quiet and comfortable. The amenities, social hour and coffee bar are absolutely perfect. Absolute pleasure staying here and will definitely return. Amazing value.
