The best place to stay in Richmond

I've stayed here and at the other place in town, and they couldn't be radically different. It may cost a bit more at the Courtyard, but you won't have to worry about the rooms being equipt properly and staff which is up to quality standards.

Upon arrival interrupted two men (staff) behind desk to check in. Was told we were upgraded but not sure what that meant as room was what I bargained for. It was clear that this place is understaffed as bistro staff also made our sandwich dinner, which he did a good job. The room had two Queen beds very comfortable but the multiple pillows were a little soft for getting a comfortable sleep. The room had a small fridge in a cabinet but a microwave would have been nice.
The second night around 1030 pm the fire alarm went off like 3 times and when I was able to get front desk on the line, they explained it was a child that pulled it. Then we had loud neighbors near our room visiting after midnight, I had to put a stop to that. While these things weren't the fault of the facility, it didn't leave a good taste, sorry to say. It's in a convenient location for us and our experience with Marriott has been good in the past. Parking is free also.

Our vehicle was stolen from the property in the middle of the night, the hotel has no cameras in the parking lot. Be aware before booking your stay here.

I really enjoyed my stay. The room was clean, and the bed was comfortable. The food was excellent. The staff was so friendly. Great customer service if I ever visit California again I will book my hotel there.

Room was clean, bathroom tub will not hold the water to take a warm bath , staff not friendly. the person in the front desk just said do you have a reservation I need your id and a credit card for a security deposit of $100 dollars he never said welcomed then he proceed to say this is your room key if you need anything call
I said thank you and he did not answer anything
Then after checking out I just gave the key card and again that a thank you remark
Also they charge my credit card the security deposit of $100.00 the day I check in when
I call to get a refund and they told me to wait 3 to 5 days for a credit
I will not stayed at this place ever.
