This is my second time staying at Motel Capri. Accommodations and the free breakfast are very basic. I appreciate a fresh cup of coffee in the morning. I stay here because the location is convenient, great walkable neighborhood and safe. Hotel management is very nice and helpful. Will gladly stay here again!

Look elsewhere unless you aren’t fazed by mould

Our family stayed 3 nights in July 2026 and I wouldn’t recommend. The room was spacious but felt dirty and had mould on curtains, walls and the shower.
We were on the second floor and due to the elevator being out of operation, we had to lug heavy luggage up the stairs.

We checked in around 3:30 when check in is after 3. The guy at the front desk took a while finding a room for us. When we finally got a room twenty minutes later, it didn't have any towels, the safe was locked and the TV had no signal. It took another 10 minutes for maintenance to come and open the safe, another 20 minutes for housekeeping to bring us towels and 2 hours later for the front desk to tell us how to fix the TV signal. Bathroom is dated and the room setup is really narrow. Breakfast is included but we didn't even bother with it the second day. It was all processed carbs, like cereal, oatmeal packets and bagged pastries. There is no place to sit and eat. It is a grab and go setup. Service was underwhelming. For the price, I expected more from this place.

Very dated and lots of wear and tear. Pretty clean and it has free parking which is a rarity in downtown San Francisco.

Cheap hotel for family

Inexpensive motel, modest breakfast, slightly outdated rooms, free parking in San Francisco and amazing location.
