The staff was sweet! The room was extremely clean. The price was great. Continental self serve breakfast was outstanding!

I was very disappointed with the cleanliness of this hotel. I'm honestly surprised it has an 8/10 rating.
When we arrived, the bed sheets had several strands of someone else's hair on them. The coffee machine and the shelf where the coffee pods were kept dusty. The air conditioner was full of dust, and there was even sand inside it. The floor had not been cleaned properly either, and there were small pieces of crackers left behind.
The bathroom was the most concerning part. There was a used bar of soap left on the shower floor from a previous guest, and the toilet had a thick ring of stains around the waterline, making it look like it hadn't been cleaned in a long time.
Cleanliness is one of the most important reasons people choose a hotel, and unfortunately this property fell far below expectations. I hope management pays more attention to housekeeping because this was not an acceptable experience.

Nice Stay in a small town

The Scipio Hotel was a nice stop on a long road trip. Comfy beds, nice bright lighting in big rooms, good breakfast, friendly staff. Thanks! Being dog friendly is always a bonus!

Great customer service! I messed up our reservation and they accommodated us with no issues. The hotel is kept clean, great water pressure, and free breakfast included!

The check in was typical but they charged us $30 more than what was on Hotel.com. The facilities was clean but not maintained. The tape and texture was falling off the wall. Looked like the fan had been replaced but no paint. The shower handle was on incorrectly. It took a bit to realize hot was cold and cold was hot! Breakfast was very limited. Runny waffle mix so it made terrible waffles. The yogurt was expired. I would not recommend this hotel.
