Beautiful Hotel with a warm and welcoming staff
The hotel is in a great location, and the rooms are new and beautiful. I really enjoyed my stay there, but when I first checked in, I found that the room had a bit of an odd smell. The manager, Brian, got me into a new room immediately, but I was going to have to switch rooms the next night, which I didn't have a problem doing. He called back ten minutes later to let me know that he moved things around and was able to accommodate my staying in the same room. Him going above and beyond was clear, and he was so friendly and warm that it really solidified that I will stay at this hotel every time I'm in Seattle.

Uncomfortably Green
The Populus Hotel has a great location, fabulous live plants, interesting art, congenial staff, and uncomfortable rooms. Our room with two beds overlooked a brick wall and contained a small cabinet with one drawer and a safe. There was a narrow closet, half taken up with two bathrobes. Older travelers like us are not accustomed to rooms with no place to put anything, tables that are non-functional, and poor lighting, The in-room coffee service consisted of bags that fit over a cup and were liable to tear and spill cofee everywhere . But for those in the boutique mode, it would be fine.

The coffee service is a fair catch as well — those pour-over pouches shouldn't be a source of spills, and we're reviewing our in-room service with that in mind.

Beautiful hotel
We loved our stay at Populus. The whole decor based around trees and plants was wonderful. The rooms are beautiful as are the restaurants. The hotel smells amazing and the Aesop bath products were fantastic. Close to Pioneer Square as getting on the light rail. Easy to walk along the waterfront too. Would stay again

A true first time experience
I deal location venue for sporting events and meetings. A fantastic location for dining experiences, but most of all the Populus team in all facets made my stay an enjoyable experience. They will not disappoint ,

Really nice place. Great rooms, nice common areas and in a great location, especially for Seahawks and Mariners games.
