Friendly staff, good location

Stayed the weekend cruisin Kearney. Rates were reasonable, good location, very friendly staff. I will be booking here next cruise too

Recommended, but no longer Motel 6.

This location is no longer a Motel6. I made reservations using Super.com, but the hotel's booking system didn't recognize me since I booked it as a Motel6. This location is now Economy Suites and must be booked as such. The motel has been completely renovated and I would stay here again. It was a good value and I highly recommend it. No frills, but has comfortable beds and new appliances. Clean and comfortable.

Don't stay here

Worst stay ever had cockroaches the bed and pillow uncomfortable with a big hump in the bed we booked a king smoking room we got a full-size bed with no blankets called and asked for a blanket they didn't bring one to us will never stay at property again the other guest was in parking lot questioning people I felt totally unsafe

Not safe.

NOT SAFE.... Illegal immigrants are filling this hotel. Rooms are filthy, tears in mattress, cockroaches on walls. People walking around that look like drug dealers and homeless. This is not a safe place for your vehicle or for people. Should be shut down by the city or Motel 6 chain, but they have probably been receiving government funding.

I actually didn't want to leave lol

Ok, I will admit that after reading previous reviews, I was worried. But after 2 weeks there, I was so happy I asked for an extra day because I didn't want to leave. The location is great because even if you don't have a vehicle you're close to shopping and restaurants to walk or take the city bus. It's obvious they are trying to upgrade rooms, but we never were disturbed by the work being done (But in my opinion a soft yellow paint would have been really nice to see) or maybe they haven't painted our room yet. My husband and I had 136, and it was very clean, with no bugs (believe me, I checked every inch of the room, including the bed) we also saw no homeless issues or drug issues that were mentioned in previous reviews and our stay was quiet. During our stay, we interacted most with Tay, the general manager, Candra, the assistant manager, and Megan in housekeeping. We briefly interacted with the other staff members, and honestly, everyone was just amazing. Tay definitely has an awesome flair to him that just makes you smile. Candra is very warm and welcoming, and Megan will bend over backward to do right by the guests. The few others we interacted with were friendly and polite, so Motel 6 has an outstanding staff at this location. I think the previous bad reviews about staff are about people who no longer work there. Overall, I will definitely be coming back to stay at this hotel.
