Double wow!!

We absolutely loved AWOL Stowe! It perfectly combines cozy Vermont charm with a modern, trendy style. Our room felt like having our own little cabin, complete with a private exterior entrance and a small back porch, which made the stay feel especially cozy.
The hot tub was wonderful, the staff was incredibly friendly, and we really enjoyed the breakfast. It was more of an elevated continental breakfast, with excellent breads, charcuterie, yogurt, and other thoughtful options rather than the typical basic hotel fare.
The entire property had a relaxed, comfortable, and stylish atmosphere. This was one of our favorite stays, and we would absolutely recommend it.

Fantastic stay. The hotel is new, clean, very comfortable, and feels incredibly upscale for the price. My husband and I had a relaxing few days and loved that we could bring our pup along. Great cocktails, delicious breakfast, charming staff, and fire pits at night where you can enjoy a drink under the stars. We’d absolutely stay again.

False advertising for a cold plunge that has been out of order since winter… and a sauna that was turned off (or perhaps also out of order). So if this things are important to you, do not book this hotel. In addition, we were informed that the hotel does not do early check in as a matter of principle EVEN IF the room is ready (which sounds insane, and it’s even more insane not to realise how stupid it is to inform a patron of such policy). Again, other than the aforementioned, it’s a great hotel (nice interior design, great breakfast).

A great change from chain hotels.

Location was central to other activities. Rooms were comfortable and clean. The AWOL has a great comfortable vibe about it. The staff was exceptionally nice and welcoming. The breakfast was a nice change from normal fare. The yogurts, fruits and breads were delicious.

Staff was very friendly and helpful. The grounds are fantastic with fire pits and hot tubs and the sauna and hammocks. It really draws in a community of people rather than just going about your stay.
