Pit Stop in Wall

I can’t express in words how fabulous this place is! They have really brought an old Hotel back to life! They have really thought of everything. If we are in Wall again this will be the only place we stay!

The hotel is about 1 block from Wall Drug and the lively downtown strip. The entrance to Badlands NP is just a few minutes away. It’s a great destination when traveling through the area. The hotel is dated but well maintained, charming and quaint. The staff are super friendly.

The rooms are very well-maintained and clean, beds are great but there’s a little noise from adjoining rooms, and while AC through-the-wall units work well, they are old and noisy. Upon arrival for a two-night stay, the hotel had booked us into different rooms for each night which would have meant we had to checkout in the morning and wait to check into a second room. They were unwilling to correct the problem but Hotels.com contacted the hotel and fixed the issue.

Great Stay In Wall, SD Near Badlands NP

This establishment was great! Clean, comfortable, completely updated and centrally located. Loved the outdoor patio area, great for unwinding after a long day in Badlands. Highly recommend this hotel for your stay in the area.

We loved staying at Hansen Inn and cabins in Wall, SD. It's such a quaint town and fun for us to be able to walk to Wall Drug and also drive to the Badlands one evening at sunset and again during the day to experience both views.
1hr-ish drive to Mt. Rushmore, it worked out to be a great place for us to stay for 2 nights - two visits to Badlands, a visit to Mt. Rushmore, and when checked-out spent some time shopping at Wall Drug and the other tourist shops. There's also a grassland visitor center right there that we didn't end up visiting. The rooms only have cleaning service if you request, so that isn't a huge deal, but something to be aware of (I think most stay 1 night so it doesn't affect the typical stay). It's nothing fancy in the standard rooms, but the remodel decor makes it quaint. There's an outdoor patio with a cornhole set and fan - I used that area to exercise (we happened to have amazing cooler weather during a summer stay). There's a processing fee for credit cards, fyi.
