Romance & Magic on the Wicomico River

Spent two nights with my husband in the Victorian Room at the Whitehaven Hotel. Wondrous and magical time! The room is charming and has lots of fun, historic details. The breakfasts were top-notch and artfully presented; everything was homemade. Stephanie and Brently are great chefs and foodies! Super nice hosts; very willing to help make your stay unforgettable.
We enjoyed sitting and reading on the porch by the gardens and also on our second-story screened in porch off our room (which is shared with another room but we had it all to ourselves). We walked around the gardens and the town. I got to kayak down the Shiles Creek and the Wicomico River where I saw three river otters! The sunrises were amazing and the sense of space and quiet was very welcome for a quick getaway from Annapolis. Highly recommended and absolutely charming! If you can, definitely stop by the Red Roost -- it's the real deal in terms of an authentic Maryland menu. We also enjoyed Evolution Craft Brewing (on the water) in Salisbury.

Very historic hotel /B&B lots of antiques and photos of renovations . Peaceful quiet and loved the rockers on the porches.

Our stay at The Whitehaven was one of the highlights of our trip. Spending the night in a beautifully preserved Victorian room was a truly unique experience. If you enjoy history, old houses, and antique furniture, this place is something special.
The house is full of character, and you can feel the care and passion the owners have put into preserving it. The breakfast was excellent and a perfect start to the day.
Choosing The Whitehaven as the final stop of our many American road trips before moving back to Finland was a wonderful decision. We couldn’t have imagined a more memorable way to end that chapter. We highly recommend The Whitehaven to anyone looking for something far more personal and memorable than a standard hotel.

The Whitehaven is a unique and beautiful place. Breakfast was delicious and the owners make you feel like you’re at home. The location is amazing ! You can enjoy just seating at the balcony area and watch the sunset or take the ferry to Princess Anne County. Highly recommended! We can’t wait to go back!

Very good breakfast, warm welcome, very friendly atpmosphere.
Rooms were a little bit cold at night (and the heating made too much noise to have it running during the night).
