Quiet, Clean, Comfortable - Good price

The building is a lovely old structure with the original coach entry tunnel; in our bedroom, lots of very old exposed beams. The staff were very friendly and spoke good English. The room was spacious and comfortable. It was up a few flights of stairs (no lift). I guess the top floor will be hot in summer, in May it was already getting rather warm in the room. Very peaceful! Loved the location, a short walk to two of the best places to eat and drink in the town, and it is right on the edge of the historic centre. I would certainly stay there again when in the area (there are several other hotel/pensions adjoining, so plenty of choice). Recommended!
Tip - book directly with the hotel, not via one of the booking agencies.

worst experience ever...

RUN!!!! The room has a really strange smell, the bedsheets are old, it is a strong noise from the old heating system so we couldn't fall asleep..also the energy of the place feels off..I can't describe.. there are multiple strange noises.. everything is so old.. the receptionist leaves after 10 pm ..it was so dark and scary..like nobody was there in all the building. I had to leave the place and find something else in the middle of the night... it was the worst experience from my entire life

Pleasant stay

Relocated to this place as original hotel was awful. This was a pleasant place, reception lady was very nice. Room was large either exposed beams. Breakfast (included in price) was limited but ok to set you up for day. Location good, close to all attractions snd restaurants snd cafes/bars. There is a Lidl supermarket within 5 minutes walk should you need anything.

Easy walking distance to the centre.

Finding the property was easy and we parked outside to offload our luggage. Check in was quick and painless. The room was accessed by 2 flights of stairs, the first acceptable the second a little steeper and not very well lit at night, not helped by the light at the top not working. The next light sensor after this was also badly set.
The room itself was very large, with the ceiling dipping low by the one side of the bed and the entrance to the bathroom. Wooden beams on the ceiling and floor. The bed comfortable, but unfortunately for tall people, had a board at the bottom as well as the top.
Breakfast was good and they even specially got English style tea, the only possible missing item was eggs.

Very good place for this hotel, close to the historic center ( 3 mins)
People are friendly
The hotel is not well maintained, paintings, dust …. Bathroom smells…not very good
But the room is very very large ! ( maybe 60m2)
Breakfast is typical Slovakian , not continental, medium product
Price is VERY good … 65 € / night
