nice comforbale hotel

I stayed at this hotel with 8 friends on a walking trip in the high tatra. Its a small hotle very clean, nice comforable rooms. Nice sauna and jacquzi baths. The staff were lvley and the food while not flash or posh was tasty and adequate. Marian the guy on reception had good english and was really nive to deal with.

Villa Siesta, Novy Smokovec - a walking holiday - July 2025

The location is perfect for visiting the main town and very convenient for the railway station. The rooms were very comfortable (especially the beds) and were cleaned regulalrly. The staff were always obliging and helpful. The meals were good value.
Overall, a very well run hotel and central for many different types of tours.

Fabulous

We arrived at this hotel very late and we had a lovely welcome from staff. They Opened the bar area for us even though it was after midnight. We were part of a hiking group. The weather was very bad for our first days hike. We all had soaked boots. I asked if there was anywhere to dry out our boots and Katarina was so obliging. They opened the ski room and dried out our gear. We had a football match on the Sunday we really wanted to watch together and Katarina and staff organized a Smart TV to be brought to the bar for us and then they organized our dinner buffet to be served there. We all got to see the match and have dinner together. The staff couldn’t do enough for us. Anytime we asked for anything outside the menu they prepared it for us.
The only negative I would give is the curtains are too fine and see through. I’m a light sleeper and woke early every morning because room was so bright.
But otherwise the owners and staff were fantastic. We couldn’t ask for more.
Thank you Katarina and staff for making our stay so pleasant!

Good base for exploring the Tatras

We were based at this welcoming hotel for a week while enjoying a winter break in the Tatras.
The hotel is well located and proved a good base being a short walk from the railway station and restaurants and shops in the town.
Our two rooms were clean and adequately equipped but a little on the small side given we had lots of outdoor gear with us.
We had breakfast at the hotel everyday with a cold buffet and choice of hot options and also had a couple of evening meals there as well - very reasonably priced but fairly basic.
Sauna / wellness area were a nice touch at the end of an active day although when the hotel was busy it did a bit congested down there despite the booking system.
All in a very reasonable mid range hotel with a nice feel and welcoming staff.
