Great value despite the stair climbing
Climbing the two long flights of stairs was a pain, as was the need to lock the building door and pension entry door whenever the latter was unattended, but most of the rest was excellent.
My room rate of 54 Euro per night represented good value. The pension is an easy walk from Zvolen Mesto railway station or a longer walk from the Zvolen main station Osbana Stanica.
My room had two single beds pushed closely together. Linen was good but there was onky one pillow.
Lighting in the room was good. Tgere was a door leading into the bedroom, but only a small angled window. I wasn't tall enough to reach the shade to pull it down.
There was a large TV that lacked English language channels, a desk with a high chair, another chair and two bedside tables. Helpfully, there was also a small fridge and bedside tables.
The pension lacked aircon so in summer the room could be hot.
The bathroom had an excellent hot shower. Hot water is turned off twice a day for an hour each time. Above the sink had enough space for a toiletries bag. Towels were clean.
Breakfast is available by arrangement but the Tesco supermarket at the nearby Zvolenska Europa shopping centre is an alternative.
The town plaza with historic St Elizabeth Church is 50 metres away. Zvolen Castle is a similarly easy walk.

Bed & Breakfast in the centre
Big suprise for me. Cheap B&B direct in the heart of the town. Room are not a piece a luxury, but for one-night stay adequate. The owner is very friendly and she can prepare for you a special breakfast according to your wish.

Perfect for that money
Located in the centre, smily polite stuff, normal standard breakfast, quite big rooms. Silent room, little bit cold but not problem. Only bad is that you have to climb two big stages with your laguage to reception.

SUPER PLACE IN CITY CENTRE - 82%
Paid e20 per night plus a further e4 for breakfast. City tax is 0.4e per day.
Lovely big room with lots of cupboard space. Very clean with ensuite with good shower.
Only negative was breakfast better to eat out not really worth e4. Small cup of coffee and cereal with fruit and yoghurt in it.
The lady at reception who i assumed was the owner was really helpful - she looked at times of trains for me on the internet and even got her English teacher to call me when she did not understand what i was saying. A big thank you to her - she even drove me to the bus station !!.

Ubytovanie v centre mesta, izby na druhom poschodi bez vytahu, vhodne pre dospelych. V noci dost velky hluk zabavajucich sa ludi. Nocne podniky nie su daleko. V nocnom stoliku prekvapia knihy… izba je cista, postel pohodlna… chybala info o wifi kode. Tv bolo nutne vypnut osobne, dialkovy nefungoval. Tv Programy boli dost obmedzene. Vacsina nefungovala.
