Sport and relaxation all together
A truly beautiful place. I couldn't use the beach because I came in April and it wasn't open yet. Not bad because I used the indoor swimming pool with heated sea water which also has a corner with some relaxing hydromassage. I also took advantage of the bicycle rental service that the hotel offers as the area is well organized with cycle paths. I recommend doing the Parenzana which goes to Portorose. Very nice. The rooms are very clean and soundproof. Pet free. The restaurant is very good and the food varies every evening. Breakfast of all kinds, both sweet and savory and plentiful. Very friendly and helpful staff. A very positive experience. You can reach the center of Izola on foot in 15 minutes along the seafront.

Positive experience for the room, they fulfilled our request for a sea view room with balcony at no extra cost, but the food is very poor and with little variety

Scary experience not to be repeated
Disastrous experience do not recommend this hotel to anyone but especially in winter season being clearly formulated for summer season. Also I got severe food poisoning because of New Year's Eve dinner and when the next morning I requested where was an open pharmacy they managed to make me go to a capdistria that of course was closed! Organization absolutely lacking listless as well as highly dangerous to health! Stay away from the buffet!!

We were misled and charged unexpected extra fees that were never mentioned before arrival. Once we got there, we were told we had to pay €25 per night for a 2-kilogram dog – which adds up to a significant amount for a week-long stay. In fact, the total charge for the dog alone amounted to one third of the total cost for two people. And what did we get in return? A dirty pillow covered in fur from another dog – completely unhygienic and unacceptable.
To make things worse, despite paying such a huge amount for the dog, every single morning we had to explain to a different restaurant staff member that we were allowed to bring our dog to breakfast. The staff kept trying to prevent us from entering with our pet, even though the hotel rules — printed in the room leaflet — clearly state that dogs are allowed during breakfast with their owners. It’s ridiculous that the staff don’t even know the rules of the hotel they work in.
The room itself was far from clean. The carpet was filthy, and the walls were stained and smudged, making the whole place feel neglected. This is absolutely not the standard promised in the description.
But the biggest lie concerns the location and the so-called private beach. In reality, you have to walk a considerable distance under the scorching sun just to reach any beach at all. And to make matters worse – dogs are not allowed on the beach! It’s absurd: they charge a high pet fee, then prohibit you from taking your dog to the beach.
To top it all off, both the receptionist and the manager were rude and completely unhelpful. They made no effort to explain or resolve anything, showing a total lack of professionalism and respect.
We feel completely deceived. If you value honesty and basic standards – avoid this place at all costs.
I will also be sharing this experience on Google and social media to make sure others are warned.

Mediocre
This resort consists of multiple hotel facilities, from 3 to 4 stars.
We stayed in the structure called "Palma", perhaps the worst and scruffiest of the whole complex.
I tried to summarize our experience in these points:
ROOM: The room we were assigned was small and with little ventilation. The first day we tried to turn on the air conditioning, without success.
Once we had carefully checked the presence of air conditioning on the reservation, we called the reception and were told that (quote) "the air conditioning was off throughout the resort, as the temperatures were still cool at night".
Now, leaving aside the fact that if in the booking is included the use of air conditioning must be the customer to judge whether the temperature is to his liking or not, the next day, since the room was literally an oven, at our further representations in reception we were offered a 10% discount on the total price (which we had to remember and get at check-out, because evidently it was not layer registered)
The bathroom was tiny, at the limits of human usability, no bidet and no window, with underfloor shower and small sink.
From the drains sometimes came bad smell.
The wardrobe reeked of sweat (perhaps from previous customers).
Nice terrace overlooking parking, with table and two chairs.
QUIET: the room was very noisy, as it overlooked the outside yard, place of unloading goods of the adjacent activities (even in the early morning)
CLEANING: in our opinion insufficient, hasty and summary. On one occasion the toilet paper was not replenished (one evening, returning from the beach and having to use the bathroom, we had to call reception to have it brought) and the baskets were emptied without putting the bag back inside.
FOOD: breakfast and dinner are served in a structure located at the opposite end of the hotel where we stayed, about 150/200 meters away, in a room with a spectacular sea view. Fair food quality, but little varies. Meals are buffet style, with vegetarian options (salads, legumes, etc.) and drinks are paid for separately (even water).
Tip: Avoid espresso coffee for breakfast, it's terrible. Better barley, trust me. Also if you do not want or cannot take sugar, equip yourself with tablets or sachets of sweetener from home, because I have not found any.
SWIMMING POOL: there is only a medium-sized indoor pool, behind the main structure, with deck chairs and tables, manned by an attendant.
SPORT: there are tennis courts. We asked for the price: 19 euros for one hour of use.
In the surroundings, even outside the hotel's appurtenances, there are many paths and streets for running, walking or training.
WELLNESS: there is a paid SPA (also for customers, absurd) in one of the structures, but we were not afraid of yet another disappointment. So check the conditions carefully before booking, because you may NOT understand it.
SEA: the beach is pebble, on the side there are also sand volleyball courts, two slides (which were closed) a beachfront bar and a bistro (which we always found closed, except the first night when it hosted a kind of corporate gathering).
PARKING: in the structure there are many free parking lots where you can park without problems.
ATTRACTIONS: we toured on foot, starting from the hotel, the village of Isola. Nice also the marina.
Conclusions: for the price we paid I would not return to this property, preferring to go a few more Km to get to Portorož (where we had already been) for sure better for water quality and services offered.
