Kurze Übernachrung

Zum zweiten Mal haben wir im Studio des Mekina Guesthouse übernachtet.
Auf Grund der örtlichen Verkehrssituation haben wir wieder auf den Rat des Gastwirts gehört und sind diesmal schon um 5:30 Uhr und ohne das leckere Frühstück gefahren.
Die Empfehlung war wieder Gold wert, wir sind so gut wie noch nie bis Trogir in Kroatien gefahren.
Das Studio war wir letztes Jahr für uns und die Kids super. Klar es ist einfach aber für eine Nacht genau das was wir wollen.
Die Lage ist super, fussläufig ist ein Spielplatz neben einem Eiscafé und rundherum ist noch mehr an Gastronomie.
Ein toller Ort als Start in den Sommerurlaub.

Horrible experience with the rude owner

Horrible place and people. Do NOT book. We had reservations from Monday to Friday. On Thursday the host entered my room without knocking and went out. 30mins later the same and shouts at me to remove myself from the room by 10. I show him proof on the phone I paid for 4 nights, not 3. He threatened to call the police on me, however his wife came and assured him it was his mistake. When I asked for a discount, he started screaming at me again. I confronted him about the no knocking. He straightforward lied to my face he was knocking and called me deaf.
The room isn't clean, there's spiderwebs everywhere, in every corner. Not talking high in the ceiling, but literally every corner. Multiple dead bugs on the floor.
Don't waste your money. If he wasn't an 80yo sickly guy, I'd call the police on him for harassment.
Rooms: Small, overly hot and most of all, UNCLEAN!

Worst experience ever. Pubic hairs in bed and extremely dirty

This has to be the worst experience of any accommodation we have stayed in. We race mountain bikes all over the world and stay in multiple accommodations per year. The Bed sheets were covered in stains and pubic hair. When asked for clean sheets the owner was extremely rude and remarked that we had obviously been jumping on the beds with our shoes on. There is an extremely bad smell about the property. Very damp and stale smell throughout. The shower and toilet was also extremely dirty as if it hadn’t been cleaned between guests. Extremely disappointing especially during the times of high risk covid-19. Will definitely not be returning to this property and would advise against it strongly to anyone else. Awful

Awful. The rooms are old and too small for 3 people, and the price is too big for what they offer. You can find beautiful apartments or rooms in Pohorje for the same price. I do not reccomend to anyone to book this guesthouse.

Zwischenstopp auf dem Weg nach Kroatien

Wir haben hier auf dem Weg nach Trogir in Kroatien übernachtet.
Das Mekina Guesthouse liegt etwas abseits von der Autobahn in Maribor, ca. 10 Minuten.
Die Straße ist sehr ruhig, liegt anscheinend aber quasi in einer touristischen Gegend.
Wir sind an vielen Restaurants vorbei gekommen und es war reichlich Volk auf der Straße.
Auf Grund des extremen Verkehrs waren wir knapp fünf Stunden später als geplant und
damit eigentlich auch schon über eine Stunde zu spät für den Checkin.
Das hatten wir aber rechtzeitig telefonisch geklärt.
Der Wirt hat sich dann bei uns entschuldigt das er schon etwas schläfrig war als wir endlich da waren!
Ein kleines, einfaches Studio, aber völlig ausreichend für uns vier.
Wir haben gut geschlafen und haben ein sehr leckeres Frühstück bekommen.
Außerdem hat man uns einen andern Grenzübergang empfohlen und die Wegbeschreibung dorthin mitgegeben.
Die 15km "Umweg" wurden mit schöner Landschaft und Null-Wartezeit belohnt ;)
Wenn wir wieder nach Kroatien fahren, werden wir wohl wieder hier Übernachten.
