Located in Xinzo de Limia, Casa do Mosteiro is in the historical district and near a boardwalk/promenade. Monastery of Bon Xesús de Trandeiras and San Salvador de Sarreaus Church are notable landmarks, and the area's natural beauty can be seen at Arnuide Roman Bridge. Sarreaus City Hall and Santuario de los Milagros are two other places to visit that come recommended. Relax and indulge in the area's hot springs, or seek out an adventure with hunting, horse riding, and mountain biking nearby. While you're here, you can enjoy all the comforts of home and more, including a full-sized refrigerator/freezer and an oven, as well as a stovetop and a dishwasher. Other amenities include a memory foam bed, down comforters, laundry facilities, and a freezer.

Amazing Casa

I was on the Via de la plata pilgrimage and stayed here for one night after being collected from a bar called A Taberna do Leiro in Villar de Barrio by Alexandro. It’s about 7km away from their lovely Casa Rural.
I was overjoyed when Elisa offered me the choice of a bathroom with a bath or one with a shower. I was missing the luxury of having a bath after a 19.25km hike. Casa do Mosteiro takes its name from the ruins of the next door Monastery, which sadly is locked up so you can’t visit it.
The bedroom and bathroom had everything you could need and the only thing I could have done with is some heating in the rooms as the walls are stone and after a long hike your body cools down a lot.
The meal was excellent and it was a lovely quiet place to stay. I enjoyed the breakfast with another guest in their little bar and there was such a fabulous feast, best breakfast on the Camino!
Despite showing the monastery to most of the guests, Elisa still wanted to show me around it. The trouble was it was so overgrown with weeds that it was difficult to see it. I hope the local Mayor realises what a wonderful opportunity it would be to show it off and help the local economy, it looks amazing from a distance. As other reviewers have said it felt like home and Elisa and Alexandro were very welcoming.

The owners are great. The property is not. The place is cold for winter, the thermostat is locked, but if you call the owners they will adjust it up some. The place has a smell. It is like a wet dog or mold. The bed is hard, the pillows are flat, and the sheets are thin. It is a multi- stay unit home, if you book a room, there may be another 4 (or more) guests staying there with you sharing the common room. For winter, all the potted plant were brought inside. A bit more communication from the owners as to where they are or where to go for check-in would be appreciated. They are right next door for the record. The owners made a simple bread, fruit, and coffee breakfast with local jam and honey. It was nice and they are good conversationalists. I wish I could rate it higher, but the smell was a big negative for me.

Disconnection

I don't rate it better because I don't agree with dogs walking around. That thing that animal owners value very much, we don't like very much.
Otherwise, it's all very well that they have a small restaurant where they can have dinner.
And it is also an advantage to be able to visit the Monastery next door.
