Fab Hotel Dont Miss It
What a great hotel, it was so well placed for our needs.
It was very clean and tidy and the reception area is quite small but a little cosy and friendly.
Everyone was friendly and reception staff spoke English way, way better than my meagre knowledge of Spanish I’m afraid to say.
Our room on the 5th floor was just as clean and tidy and there were little things to ensure you had a good stay such as toothbrushes, shower caps, shave kit etc as well as dressing gown and slippers.
The bed was absolutely huge and so comfortable.
We faced the street but you could hardly hear any noise when windows were shut and the curtains were blackout for a great nights sleep.
We never heard any of the other guests in adjoining rooms either.
We didn’t have breakfast.
There are coffee facilities in the room, it’s a shame these can’t be topped up by cleaners, you have to go to the desk.
The location - approximately 40m from the tram, bus stops nearby, several decently stocked small supermarkets, and a host of cafes and great restaurants, to suit all budgets within easy walking distance.
Your about 150 metres to the marina and towards the beaches and the castle is virtually next door…as the crow flies.
We loved the hotel and would love to go again.

Perfect without the view
If you want a room with a view then this hotel isn’t for you. If you want a hotel with a prime location, comfortable bed, outstanding staff and a breakfast full of variety then it’s perfect.
The staff are so friendly, special welcome to Laura on reception and the girl who greeted us most mornings at breakfast, sadly I didn’t get her name.
The location is a 5 min walk to the promenade and also to the old town…it’s ideal plus 2 mins to the Tram network and only a 15 min walk from the train station.

Outstanding in every way!
This hotel has truly become my little paradise. I’ve visited three times in the past ten months, and each stay has reminded me why I keep coming back. The customer service is outstanding, consistently thoughtful in all the small ways that make a stay feel personal.
The rooms are immaculate, offering comfort and cleanliness that never falter. Its central location is another major highlight: set within the heart of the city, with just a five‑minute walk to the beach, it couldn’t be more convenient.
I usually stay on a room‑only basis, but I tried the breakfast once and was genuinely impressed. The selection was beautifully presented, indulgent, and far more boujee than I expected — a real treat to start the day.
Several friends have stayed here following my recommendation, and they’ve all fallen in love with it just as much as I have. I truly cannot wait to return in October.

Great location, clean and tidy.
As all the other reviews say, this Hotel was in an excellent location, minutes from the Mercado airport bus stop (this was so easy to catch from the airport and just loops all day). Reception and check in was easy, there was free coffee and tea also at Reception.
The rooms were of a good size, had wardrobes and shelves to store your luggage. The air conditioning worked well. We did have the view of the courtyard but it really didn’t matter as wasn’t in the room enough. Our beds were made and cleaned every day.
The Castle, beach and restaurants etc were all in walking distance.
I would come and again and recommend.

Pleasant stay
Lovely stay at Occidental Alicante - this was a very last minute break booked through jet 2.
Very centrally located felt safe to wander around in the evening.
Hotel immaculately clean, every single member of staff were very welcoming and ready to help.
I requested early check in which they arranged and the room was as expected.
Breakfast a good variety of food - replenished frequently.
Only downside is we spent our final day on the beach but couldn’t keep our room on as they were fully booked. They don’t have changing facilities or a courtesy room just an adapted toilet. Maybe this is the norm for city centre hotels but it would put me off returning
