The Perfect Place to Relax
This was one of the best holidays I’ve ever had!
The hotel exceeded all my expectations. It is beautiful, modern, and aesthetically pleasing, making it a wonderful place to relax. My room was lovely, spotlessly clean, and well maintained throughout my stay.
The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, always happy to help with a smile. The food was delicious, and having breakfast and dinner with such a gorgeous sea view made every meal even more special.
The location is perfect – the beach is literally a one-minute walk away, and the bus stop is right outside the hotel, making it easy to explore nearby towns like Nerja. You can also rent bikes and enjoy a scenic ride along the coast.
As a solo traveller, I couldn’t have chosen a better place. It was peaceful, safe, and relaxing – exactly the break I needed. I would definitely come back and highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a quiet seaside escape.

Stunning hotel, Great staff, Amazing food!
Would give a higher review if I could!
Hotel was beautiful, staff were great to us, Thankyou all! We didn’t get everyone’s names so can’t thank them all separately but all staff honestly couldn’t do enough for us! One of the ladies with dark hair was so helpful she went through the desserts with us (would highly recommend the cheesecake, it was pistachio on the day) and then brought us her favourite shot on the house afterwards! Thankyou all staff!
View was beautiful, beach located right on the front of the hotel, was a bit rocky so we kept our sandals on (maybe but water shoes as more comfortable)
Rooftop was lovely and peaceful, Toni I believe her name was made drinks for us at the bar (the mojitos are great) pool was lovely and cool for when you get too hot, lots of umbrellas for shade but can also sit in the sun!
Food was some of the best food we had whilst on holiday, dinner was always great! We didn’t have the buffet so cannot comment on that but the breakfast was always good too, food always fresh and can order omelettes, eggs etc!
Hotel has bikes you can rent for free for a couple of hours to go into the town which is great, we used those a couple of times
Rooms and the hotel were always lovely and clean, one of the cleanest hotels I’ve stayed in, saw the cleaners every single day, toilets around the hotel were always beautifully clean too which is great!
We came during the start of the season I believe so was a little bit quieter but seemed to pick up as we were leaving!

Relaxed and stylish
We really enjoyed our stay in the Hotel ON Aleta Room. The hotel is only bookable for adults. All rooms in the hotel have a sea view, and this view is simply breathtaking. The pebble beach is directly across from the hotel and is located in a quiet bay. If you need a break from walking, the hotel lends bicycles with locks for free for 2 hours. There is a bus stop across from the hotel, with a bus running twice an hour for €1, where you mostly encounter locals.
All hotel staff are very nice and helpful; we sometimes had to communicate with gestures, but our wishes were always fulfilled.
At the reception and in the restaurant, communication in English was sometimes better, sometimes worse; those who can speak Spanish have a clear advantage. English is rarely spoken in shops, museums, or restaurants. The town of Almuñécar and its residents seem quaint and relaxed.
The atmosphere in the hotel was simply relaxed all week, with no rushing at the buffet and no need to search for tables. The loungers on the pool deck were always sufficiently available. Large towels are provided by the hotel. The pool is more of a cooling option as the depth is only 60 cm, but the view from the pool or generally from the roof over the bay is stunningly beautiful.
We booked half board, and apart from the coffee for breakfast from the often defective coffee machine, there is a diverse selection of dishes. The orange juice is freshly squeezed and included with breakfast. Upon request, various egg specialties, bacon, churros, and pancakes are prepared before your eyes, as well as wok dishes and grill specialties for dinner.
The meals varied slightly each day, and there were also kebabs, hot dogs, or burgers to customize.
The room is furnished in a modern style, the bed is king-size, and the mattress was of top firmness. One could sleep with the window open to the sound of the sea, as the street was hardly trafficked in the evening.
The hotel has always been clean, and there is an aroma diffuser on every floor, which we find set a bit too intensely. Relaxing music accompanies you from the speakers all day long. On Saturday, there was live music during dinner.
The hotel has a small fitness area, but we preferred the crystal-clear sea, where snorkeling is worthwhile.
The hotel also offers excursion options to book on-site.
We would gladly return!

Good location, but disappointing service and food.
We will not spend our vacations at any ON Hotels hotel again. The good reviews convinced us to book, but once there, we were very disappointed.
The location is good, and the reception and cleaning staff were friendly. However, the restaurant and kitchen staff were a disaster. The food was not fresh, and the variety was very limited. Furthermore, one out of every two plates was dirty. The tables were not set: there were no utensils, napkins, or any type of setup, as is usual in a four-star hotel. On every visit to the buffet, we had to find and bring the utensils ourselves, something more typical of a youth hostel than a hotel of this category. The waiters were unprofessional and were even unable to open a bottle of cava.
To top it all off, we found ants on the balcony. They would get into the towels and swimsuits we hung up to dry, and their bites left us with small skin lesions that caused very intense itching.
We do not recommend this hotel to those who value good service and quality food. Honestly, we do not understand where so many positive reviews come from.

A good place to spend a quiet vacation in an adults-only setting.
Pleasant environment with good sea views. The pool on the upper terrace is small, with bar service and some food options. New facilities and a complete room. The beach is just across the road, and there are more available within walking distance. Pebble beach, proper footwear is required. Quiet, with no crowds at the hotel or the beach. There are lounge chairs on the beach, although they are for rent with a discount for hotel guests. Almuñécar is close, a 25-30 minute walk along the coastal promenade, which is very pleasant. The only downside is that the parking lot is small; we ran out of spots because we didn't reserve one, and it is sometimes difficult to park in the area, especially on weekends. The air fresheners on the floors are too intense. The scent of perfume gets into the room.
