Unfortunately an absolute disappointment – accommodation in unacceptable condition
We booked a room at the Landhotel Sa Duaia in September 2025 – unfortunately the condition of the accommodation was totally unacceptable on arrival.
As soon as they entered, a strong smell of mould was noticeable, which made living unreasonable. The front door was broken (see pictures) could not be closed properly and was in such poor condition that it almost threatened to break out of the frame.
The provider responded to my complaint by phone and confirmed the mutually agreed cancellation, but later not the full buzzer was refunded. Really outrageous, as this bust then cost us even more money!
In addition, due to the uninhabitable accommodation, we had to spontaneously book replacement accommodation, which led to significant additional costs.
It is obvious that the landlord must have known the poor condition of the accommodation before it was re-let – I feel this is a deliberate deception of the guests.
I strongly advise to refrain from booking until the house has been thoroughly renovated and restored to a habitable condition.
Transparency is important – and guests should know what they are actually getting into here.

Truly wonderful
5/5. Where do we start? We checked in at 1pm (earliest). We came here in June 2025 for a meal and knew we wanted to return for a stay. We were welcomed and greeted by the staff and given our room keys. We had a double room in the tower which had a lovely authentic feel to it. Small bathroom but what can you expect? It’s a very traditional Spanish building. We spent the afternoon relaxing by the pool with a cerveza €3.30, excellent price! We went for a lovely walk around the grounds and then went to the restaurant for our dinner. We had a beautiful table reserved and the view was spectacular as the sun was setting. Fantastic customer service. We had the bread and Thai chicken to start and steak for main and shared a bottle of Rioja €17, again fabulous prices. We finished our evening sitting inside and enjoyed the decor and atmosphere of inside. The location itself is truly beautiful and relaxing. A perfect place to stay if you’re after tranquility and relaxation. The staff could not have done enough for us. The stay was everything we wished for. Thank you!
